Day 9 stims-E2 little high (worried)

OK here's the update. I went in yesterday (Sat) for u/s and b/w. Now the RE is happy and says things look egg as follicles are growing. I have felt really good about this cycle the whole time as it mimicks my last positive cycle (twins, which we lost at 22 weeks). Until....when the nurse called me she said my E2 was at 1880. This really worries me as last time at retreival it was 1555. That was my only positive cycle! I feel like that is what mine should be around because it finally worked (that was ivf #5).

I won't trigger until Monday evening so I know that by the time I go in in the morning my E2 will be over 3000. Sometimes I just hate this ivf stuff. Last time the embryonologist told me that it was not "ideal conditions" to put embies back into that kind of environment (an environment with high E2). Any way, this kind of has me worried that this cycle won't work. This is our last try on the shared-risk program and I am a little worried about this. It has to work!

Thanks for letting me vent. I knew that you all would understand me! ER is for Wednesday with transfer on Saturday. Please pray for us as this might be it. Shanna

Shanna, I've been pulling for you for a long, long time. This is YOUR TIME. It just has to be.

AND, I updated your info on the Lucky Charms chart. Show us the way, Shanna...

Oh yeah, they could coast you for a day or so. That would bring the E2 down...

I'm sorry that this is so hard!!! I am 40 years old and do not have PCOS but I always over stimulate. My last cycle, (40 at the time) my E2 topped 4500!! I had to cost for 3 days before trigger (to reduce the likelyhood of ohss) and they still got 25 eggs. I've done 4 ivfs since turning 38 and each one I had E2 that went over 3000 and they got 25, 30, 35 eggs. My nurses always say it is good and I should be happy, but I too think that it might not be good. So, I understand your concern. I don't think that you are wrong to push to keep your E2 levels down. If I do another fresh cycle, I am going to insist that they start me on ultra low doses, I don't care if I am over 40.

On a more positive note, I have gotten BFPs (although chemicals) in 2 out of the 4 cycles that I did and my E2 gets much higher than yours is right now.

I wish you the best of luck!!
Karen
