Use of Provera going into a cycle.
Has anyone had to use provera to jump start a cycle? I take my last pill of 5 tommorow and we are hoping to start a FET cycle as soon as she shows up. Has anyone every had to do this...did it have any impact on your cycle or result? How long does it take for AF to show after you stop taking it?
Thanks so much...this waiting has been hell.

I've not used Provera to get AF for a cycle, but I have used it to start AF before. I know that it's been done before & had no negative affect on the cycle. (from the ones I've seen at least!) Good luck!!

Hi, I've used provera before, but never for an IVF cycle. I'm sure it'll be fine. Your RE wouldn't have had you take it if it weren't.
Good luck. It usually comes a couple days after your last pill... (If I remember correctly) ... Keep us posted! |

yep, it will be fine! It just tricks your body into believing it's having the hormone crash that brings on AF (that's why you take it for five days, to let it build up, and then cease altogether and let it plumet, bringing on AF. It won't hurt your cycle one bit...

Phew...thanks so much ladies.
I took my last one yesterday, so I am hoping she makes a quick arrival. I feel so silly being excited for her to show up But I am so ready to move into the next cycle. Thanks again. |
