I just wanted to share something that I learned on my 3rd (Yes, 3rd) IVF. If anyone can benefit from this, great. I had OHSS the first time I did IVF and I was miserable. I had 38 eggs, but 25 or so were only mature...anyway, I have a beautiful son from a FET in Feb 05. I had a miscarriage 8 weeks ago....I changed REs, did an IVF but they froze everything and gave my bod a break and I will be doing a FET soon. My new RE was concerned about ohss and put me on this diet so I Am going to share:
Drink lots of fluids during stim
Coconut water (from whole foods) NOT milk instead of Gatorade
avoid carbs since they can aggravate ohss
stay away from sugar (sweets like cookies) and sugar juices
eat protein like chicken
Push water, sparkling water is good too
no caffeine, no alcohol
Hope this helps. Idid not overstim this time, but my lining grew to 19 which is too thick for a fresh transfer. Just thought I would share this with everyone!
