I always took mine to the RE's office with me & they disposed of it. It really shouldn't go into the garbage. When I worked in a doctors office we had a special pick up for hazardous materials, which was anything with blood on it or any sharps.

DH threw ours in the garbage. We weren't making another trip all the way to the RE's office to drop it off. Especially since we didn't even have a follow-up appointment after the BFN.

You are not to throw it away in the garbage. There is a reason for those bio/sharps containers. I bought mine which is with prepaid returnable postage and a box; the company incinerates them I believe.

Call http://www.ivpcare.com/ or your pharmacy. They'll tell you if your RE won't take them.
