    Gatorade?

    Just a quick question.

I have read a few posts over the years about his drink and was wondering exactly what is in it, what exactly does it do and why its a good idea to drink it during stim phase.

It's just so that I can have a look about here in the UK to see if there are any drinks equivalent to it that I can drink during the same time.

    Thanks in advance

Whats in it are electrolytes (Gatorade is a sugary sports drink). There is also a water here called SmartWater which is just water with electrolytes.
It is primarily suggested to drink the day of ER (I did it all during stims and afterwards) since I think the electroltyes help sort of flush out the ovaries and decrease the risk of OHSS.
    I HIGHLY recommend it.

I go into OHSS every cycle (all 8)

It's a sports drink that has electrolytes in it and it was designed to prevent dehydration.
When you ohss you put a significant amount of stress on your kidneys. Proper hydration is to flush out thru them and prevent kidney failure.
If you are not OHSS you will probably would do fine to just drink or what ever you want.
But if you OHSS you need to alternate with Gatorade and water.

    Just my experience.

    Hello
I was told to drink Powerade--its supposed to decrease bloating after retrieval as well. I started drinking it too late last time, but this time I will be ready with bottles in my refrigerator.

Ren, I definately have to take a leave out of your book, I am on the high dose of stims this time so I have to be really careful, I am having 2 scans during stim time this time to keep an eye on things but Powerade is definately getting added to my cycle schedule
