    Hysteroscopy - bleeding profusely

Well, the hysteroscopy was 6 hours ago, and I am at home comfortable, but I am bleeding - HEAVILY. This will be TMI - but I need to say that I had a clot about the size of a silver dollar. Is that normal post hysteroscopy?

The doc (who is well-reknown) removed two polyps and some scar tissue. Now, I know that polyps can bleed alot, yes? What could the big nasty clot be from? Is it a good sign that the clot is outta there? Perhaps it was there to begin with, and doc lasered it off? Or did removing of the polyps and the scar tissue CAUSE the clot?

Doc said the only time to be concered was with heavy, heavy bleeding. I said, "What constitutes heavy bleeding?" She said, "More than a period." Well, my periods are pretty light. This is heavier than that. But I'm not soaking through pads or anything. They will call tomorrow, and I will let them know about the bleeding.

The clot worries me. What if my womb is all full of yucky nasty clots?!?!?!?!

But does this sound normal to anyone?

I didn't have any bleeding after my hysteroscopy, so I'm not sure. I would definitely let them know first thing tomorrow morning & not wait for them to call. I hope the bleeding slows down for you!!

I've never had one either (had everything else, though!! )

I hope the bleeding stops soon, and that you feel better. It does sound pretty normal right after a procedure like that, though. Hopefully, it will be much lighter by morning.

I had my hysto with a Lap, so I did bleed. I had endo removed outside and a septum removed inside. The septum does not have blood flow to it, so I didn't bleed a lot. I wouldn't be too surprised by the bleeding if you had polyps removed. If it does get worse I would get checked out asap.

    Take care,

    Hey Stac
I hope that by the time you read this you are doing better, if not I would certianlly call and have everthing checked out. I bleed the day of my hysterocsopy and then spotted for 10 days thereafter and my RE said that was normal. I had interuterine adhesions removed. I hope your doing ok.

I had my hysteroscopy last week and I have had off & on bleeding since then - with some pretty good sized clots early on. I think that is fairly normal. And I did not even have any polyps removed this time! (last time I did, and had more bleeding/clots then.) Anyway, I hope your bleeding has lessened, and in the morning you can talk to your clinic for reassurance.
    Get some rest !!

    more s sent your way!

Stacie I would definitely call your doc. I had a hysteroscopy and the bleeding was minimal.

Hey, I would def. call your doctor if you are worried. I had that done, but just mild endo removed and I spotted. So if you are the slightest bit concerned, call... that' what they are there for. In the mean time, make sure you rest okay?
Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.
