IUI help PLEASEE!!

My girlfriend and i are trying to have a baby. She went to the fertility clinic for all appointments and they said everything checked out fine. She took clomid i am unsure of how the whole day thing goes but she took the clomid and on 8/3/12 had an ultrasound and we were told she had 12 follicles on each ovary but 1 mature egg on the left and possibly 1 on the right. We were then instructed to give the ovidrel injection that night. Saturday 8/4/12 at 10am we went in for her IUI. The procedure went well..there were 19.48 motile sperm. She then started the progesterone suppositories. Today is 8/8/12. She has been complaining of what she feels is menstrual cramps. She and i are extremely nervous. We dont know if it's because of the progesterone...possible implantation...or if she's getting her "time" she has a pregnancy blood test at the fertility clinic on 8/20....any information to help me be a more supportive person with this...i have no clue if its normal or what...thanks

Hi Joana, those cramps can maybe be implantation as that happens a few days after conception, but it sounds maybe a little early for that? I also noticed that I tend to interpret every little twitch in my body as a sign of pregnancy, because you're so nervous and hopeful. You are in the two week wait (2ww). There is a thread where people are offering support among other things when people are on their 2ww (and other times too). Here is the link. Welcome to the board!! Glad you decided to post with us Regarding your partner's cramping, being today is 4dpiui, her ovaries are probably working over time. I know, when I was on Clomid, I had cramping off and on all through the 2ww. This doesn't mean that the cycle is a bust. So, do your best to make sure your partner isn't stressing too much right now, so that she can relax. It'll help her immensely. Hopefully this is both of yours BFP cycle!! Feel free to join us at:

The cramping is normal, I had that after progesterone. Let me know what happen I am anxious to hear.
