Thanks so much for your support! I love reading about success stories after multiple tries. So much of the info out there is centred around achieving a pregnancy after 3-4 tries, or else moving onto IVF. I don`t want to look at my life and my baby as statistics on someone`s chart. I am a person trying to create life, and to heck with the word IMPROBABLE!!
I believe. Maybe I`m a schmuck for having faith without proof, but so be it. The world`s great religions are all based on some schmuck believing in something they had no tangible proof to support. I believe this was meant to be, and I`m not going to let anyone force me into anything I am not ready to do.
I feel like I need to insert a good old fashioned union or civil rights protest song or something, given my mood right now... hee hee... so here`s a version of `We shall overcome`for your listening pleasure... Deep in my heart, I do believe, that we shall overcome some day!

caw It's normal. It's just a traumatic experience for your lady parts; the cramps might continue for another week yet.
Roses I don't think your progesterone plummeting is enough to make hot flashes start. I mean, you don't have them under normal circumstances (the first half of a person's cycle, prog is low, and estro is high, but most of us don't experience hot flashes because of it). You raised a VERY interesting point about the hcg trigger though. I googled -- it takes 1 day for every 1,000 units of hcg. There are 50 units per 1/2 cc, or 100 units per cc. Your last shot was .2 cc, so that's...the math fails me, but isn't that less than a day? Something sounds screwy with either my math or my information regarding IU:CC
I think you need to call your RE today and ask some questions!
ajeanine A 12-day luteal phase is acceptable. I think 13 or 14 is better but 12 is outside the defect range, so I think you're safe.
AFM Nothing new to report here. It feels like I'm constantly waiting for my uterus. Do this, do that, and that, etc. I want to just GET ON WITH IT ^_^ Have a great day, ladies!

Good Morning Ladies-so today I am really feeling the effects of this 2ww-it is unlike any other 2ww I have experienced. Normally it's a natural cycle 2ww where I'm just kind of guessing when af should be here and everything (and it didn't cost me $1000)...so this one is a lot more emotional. I'm ready for results. I'm not sure if this is any indication of the results but I am feeling this urgency to move on to the next round-hoping that's not my body telling me it's gonna be a bfn but odds are it is

rlo-I have a friend that got pg last yr and she has 2 uterus'. She wasn't going through IF (that I know of) but all in all she had a pretty calm experience. She was high risk through out it all but all was good. Oh and yes I did do a trigger shot.
Doodle-I'm 29 but I have the eggs of someone at least 10 years older so my re feels the same way-if it's going to happen w/ my eggs it's either now or never. Have you had your AMH levels checked?
caw-Welcome
..and good luck to you! I had my 1st iui Sat and I had cramps and bloating too-actually still have them. Mainly just the bloating now though and occasional cramps. It actually hurts more now than it did while having the procedure.
Wannabe-you should definitely have control over your own journey-at least what treatments you and dh decide to do. It's your body and your future so I wouldn't let your re makes your choices for you. Been praying for you and sending positive vibes your way.
Ajeanine-my (little) brother has an 8 month old and I spend quit a bit of time with her. Is it hard for you going through IF with your niece around? I have my moments..sometimes it really gets to me especially bc they aren't married nor are they prepared to be parents. Don't undertsand why completely incompetent people are given the opportunity to raise children but then so many couples struggle who will be wonderful parents. Also I think I read somewhere that as long as your luteal phase is 10 days or longer you are good-anything below 10 days doesn't give enough time for implantation.
tu-good luck today with your appt-hoping everything goes smoothly and you are able to start the meds. It's a waiting game every step of the way on this crazy ride we're on.
Roses-I'm really really bloated too-it's to the point where it is constantly uncomfortable and my clothes aren't fitting. Wondering when it's going to go away.
hugs&babydust to everyone...July is gonna be a good month-lots of BFP

Good morning, Ladies!!
I am so sorry but I don't have time for personal's now. I just wanted to pop in and see how you all were doing.
Yesterday I had my baseline with the new RE. I really am happy the switch was made!! We are loving the new attitude and easter and western medicine combo. Not to mention, the new clinic has hours when I want them, not only between 7-11 do they see IF paitents. I started the metformin yesterday and the GI side affects started this morning, fun fun. I also atarted teh steroid. I feel nothing with that so far so that is a good thing. This clinic starts you on ganarelix on day 5 thru your cycle all the way thru. They want quality not quantity and they also start on very low dose stims. Something I am not used too, but glad they are being careful and wanting the best. I will have my intra lipid IV monday after my u/s and bloodwork. Anyone else have the IV therapy? What should I expect? Any side effects?
Sticky baby dust to everyone!!

Tested today, and another BFN ... 11dpiui.
No signs of AF yet.
:-(
There's no hope for us it seems, except for IVF (edit to add... "except for IVF and that slim chance!" .... :-( )
Off to therapy w/ DH. Hope it helps!
At least technology and use of it has progressed since 2008.
In Feb. 2008, our embryos went through a normal/or "slow" freeze process.
NOW, in 2001, many (if not most/all) ARTS labs are doing "FLASH" Freezing..... and this is supposed to SIGNIFICANTLY increase the number of embryos that survive the freeze/thaw process.
Of the 7 embryos we froze in 2008, only 6 survived the thaw without "arresting" ... of those 6, only 4 made it to day 3 for the transfer (2 each time).
GAH... sorry I'm just talking about me ME ME!!! I'm just SPENT. I wish I had more to give back. I'll work on it.
Hugs to all....

lolaloo - I melted down for two days when my SIL told me they were pregnant. She was sensitive about it, knowing that we had already been trying for 4 years at the time. But it was still super super hard. I was jealous of her throughout her entire pregnancy...totally had belly envy. And then when the baby was born I cried again. But its not baby P's fault that she was born. And I LOVE her to bits. My bro and his wife had been married a few years already and who am I to decide when they are allowed to start a family even though it is hard? I have found my niece to be theraputic for me, especially on hard IF days. I just can't help smiling when she reaches for me and gives me her open mouth kisses. It also helps knowing that my bro and SIL totally trust me with her even though I don't have kids of my own.
Roses - don't feel bad for talking about yourself. we're here to "listen" and getting it all out is part of the process.
AFM - negative OPK this morning. Not surprised. My niece was dropped off at 8 and we went strawberry picked and then to the beach with my friends and all their kiddos. It was great. Now she is napping and I NEED a shower from that gross lake water.Me: 29 DH: 30 Married in June 2005

Hey everyone
I had two, possibly 3 follies, on my scan yesterday. I had my IUI today around 10 am. Here's hoping I won't go crazy again on the 2ww. I hope this month will be full of BFP's
