    Anyone used Femara w/Follistim?

    Hi All!!

I've been on Follistim for the last 4 cycles and today my doctor tells me that he wants to add Femara with the Follistim. Has anyone used this protocol? I've had to stim every other cycle because of cysts and he seems to think that this might stop that from happening. I'm doing my 1st IUI this cycle and want the best shot possible, so I wanted to hear your experiences with these meds combined. I'm concerned about the effects on my uterine lining, since it is similar to clomid. It's not supposed to be as bad about thinning it, but I'm still concerned.

    Any advice/comments would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Rae

    Hi
I did an IUI yesterday. WE used both femara and follistim. My RE did this combo as he said with using the femara, you can use less of the follistim as it is very expensive as you know. I didn't have any side effects from the femara. With the both of them, I had 3 mature follies at trigger.
