Does having short cycles make IUIs difficult? (breastfeeding mentioned)
I'm sorry I only seem to post questions here......
I am hoping to do IUI with donor sperm in June or July. I haven't yet scheduled a consult with the RE, but will be doing it soon, so we can discuss things, do tests, etc. I haven't charted in a long time, but have charted the last couple of cycles (on my third cycle right now) I induced lactation for my son, whom we adopted at birth. He weaned himself just a few months ago, and that's when I started charting. Well, my first cycle was 30 days, which is normal for me. I'm normally 30-33 days. My second cycle was 26 days. I remember having a short cycle like this every once in awhile. But I am now 7 DPO and already starting to feel AF crampy, a little. I'm only on CD 23. I know cycle one my luteal phase was 11 days, and cycle two it was 10 days. I am worried if there is something wrong with me, if I continue to have these short cycles. We already have sperm problems, but are bypassing that with donor sperm. If there is something wrong with me, I don't know what we'll do! (I had 30+ cysts in each ovary many years ago, which was taken care of with surgery. No apparent problems since) Does anyone else have these short cycles? Should I worry about this? From my temperature charts, I am definitely ovulating.(First cycle-CD19, second cycle - CD16, third cycle - CD16) And, even though I haven't spoken with the RE yet, I am intending to do Clomid, hopefully 100 mg, with the trigger shot when I do my IUIs. Will that help, even though my cycles might be short? Thanks again for answering my many questions. I can't wait to join everyone by actually doing an IUI. But I'm nervous about the whole thing, because, of course, I'm scared it won't work.

I used to have 14 days LP, and as I went through IF treatments, they gradually decreased.... 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8..... I went on progestrone for it for one cycle when it hit 8.
It is a huge concern, as there is no time for implantation, make sure to make note of it to your RE.

Thanks, Kris. I was sure someone mentioned something about it somewhere here. (I lurk here all the time) It must have been you. You can bet I will mention it to the RE.
