I have a question for you girls. I was told that you should have sex within 2 days of IUI, but not within 24hours of IUI. Tonight is the only time we could have had sex, but dh was running late for church so he said no....I told him that I don't want to risk wasting a cycle because it only takes 30 seconds for quickie, but he said he doesn't have time, so I got tired of arguing about it and was like whatever. I work night shift and I'm at work, and he'll be gone before I get home...tomorrow am is the trigger and IUI will be Tuesday around 3 in the afternoon...Do you guys think its a big deal that he hasn't ejaculated since Friday night? Usually we have no problems with numbers or motility or anything. I'm going to ask the nurse tomorrow if she thinks we should have sex tomorrow when he gets home or if it would be better to hold off.
Ive heard 2-5 days so you'll be fine, I think. I'd be afraid to do it now, it's so close to the AI. Although, we did it w/barely a day and a half and the count was 74 million. Morphology wasn't great, but the count was.
My RE has said that ejaculation should occur no longer than 5 days out from IUI and no sooner than 2 days before. She believes that with these boundries you tend to get the best numbers.
Well, we did IUI, and numbers were "great", they don't actually count if they have a certain number in each field, and she said morphology was great as well!
