Barging in...

My 5th IUI cycle gave me BFP - my DD (now 3.5yo)
My 9th and 10th IUI's gave me BFP's - but sadly Mc'd both
My 12th IUI gave me BFP - my DS (now 17wks)

Don't give up, it can happen. Oh and if it means anything, 3 out of 4 of those BFP cycles were triggered with only 1 dominant follie...

Good Luck

We were very fortunate--it took only 1 IUI. Our diagnosis was solely male factor, and we used frozen donor sperm (no other interventions).

Good luck!

Just one, I assume. Because I do not have IF issues of my own (just male factor), we did a completely unmedicated/unmonitored cycle. So, chances are near 100% that I only had one follicle release. And, like I said, we used donor sperm. My ovulation predictor tested positive on October 12 at 11am, and I went in for our single IUI on the 13th at 9am.

Ours worked on the first one as well but I've seen many, many posts from ladies on this board who got pregnant a couple or several IUIs down the path. So if the first one doesn't work, it doesn't mean it won't the next time!

We did a 100mg Clomid cycle with ours, had 2 follies, double IUIs but because I had already started ovulating naturally just 24 hours after a bloodwork/US check the previous day showed nothing had happening yet. I was supposed to trigger that day, but found out during the bloodwork check that morning I had already started ovulating. They rushed DH and me in for an IUI as soon as we got the call. I decided to go ahead and trigger right then anyway to make sure the 2nd follie released as well (naturally the lead follie usually only releases), and did the 2nd IUI the next day since the second egg would likely be coming down the pipe at a later time than the first egg.

We got pregnant with our second IUI with Follistim injections. I had 3, maybe 4 follicels (one was only 15mm so I'm not sure if it was mature). We have no IF factors except for my "advanced" age of 41.

Good Luck!

Hi Nancy, that's great!
Can you share how/if you felt differently in your second cycle? I've commented on the soreness in the ovaries brought on by the HCG injection (stimmed with gonal-f) and the dr said "you might get a bit of a break, but the hope is that it will pick back up around 7-10 days after IUI"... meaning that pregnancy resulted. I was just wondering if you noticed a difference in your cycle that worked?
