progestrone question

Just a quick question. Does anyone know if you can take to much progestrone? I don't know what my numbers are. Six years ago they did my fertility work up and everything was fine they said. I was just wondering what doe progestrone do as far as pg goes. and if your numbers are ok what would it do if you took progestrone. How much does one take and when are you suppose to take it. Well I guess there was more than one question sorry....mindy

hi Mindy, I asked the exact same question on the bbt, hpt, opk board last week and everyone said that you can't have too much progesterone as your body expels what it doesn't use. HTH, Lisa

too much progesterone

Hello. I was normal with all of my blood tests etc. Male infertililty only. My x-doctor who uses very high doses on all his meds put me on 800mg of Progesterone a day and I lost a lot of hair. Enough to send me to the doctor and be put on meds. My new doctor was confused on why I was put on it at all with normal numbers. Many docs use it just in case as it usually can't hurt.
As far as sperm banks I had a really hard time finding anyone as tall or as athletic as my husband. After much searching I found Fairfax cryobank in VA. Many more choices I thought than the number one bank (california cryo).
They also have a doctorate program where you can pick through men receiving educations past college. This are the biggest two banks in the country so don't be tied down to one, find the purfect match.
