I would be at 4 u/s ($1560) + b/w ($90) + meds ($1400) + sperm wash & iui (not positive, but would estimate at around $600) = $3650/cycle plus I'm also on progesterone and lovenox which are also fairly pricey (esp. the lovenox!). Thankfully I'm just paying co-pays! I think it also depends on what area you are in!

I live in Ontario so the blood work, ultrasounds, and RE appointments are covered by OHIP. So I had to pay $200 for the IUI itself and I think my meds were $850 (as only the progesterone was covered under my drug plan).

    Meds: $1000-1500/month
    u/s and b/w: $379 per visit, 3-4 visits a cycle
    actual IUI: $342

My office tells us to budget $4000-4500 for each cycle and most people in my state are self-pay.

I have insurance, but it does not cover anything artificial such as IVF or IUI

So these are what I pay after insurance:

Meds (repronex) 204 for 10 amps & 8.50 for HCG

Monitoring U/S 16.83 once I have met my 300.00 ded

    Blood work 15 a time x2 a cycle.

    IUI & Wash 100.00

I am at a OB not at RE though

I know it was 400.00 for my friends and I think that included washing

meds were paid for separately and of course monitoring was separate.

An OB was used and it was a FAR cry in price than a RE. I ma talking THOUSANDS in difference.

    1. Rx trigger from pharmacy 50.00 plus office did injection for free

    vs.

    2. RE cost for trigger 500.00 plus office charge for doing injection

My insurance pays for the IUI procedure which is 392.00 each time
For the sperm, shipping and office handling I pay 778.00 for One vial
The Femara was 50.00 with insurance
    The washing fee is 375.00

so the total for me is around 1200.00

The ultrasounds and the HCG shot are included in my insurance. My insurance will cover infertility procedures up to 2,000.00 lifetime.

    Hope this helps!

I'm in Australia, and we get a lot of our costs refunded by the government.

First IUI - everything included was $1000, ($1250, $250 refunded) second was $250 ($1000 refunded).

I'm not sure what the break-down was, but my RE's office charged my insurance company $440.00 for my IUI day. I'm assuming that includes the sperm wash, too. Oh, and meds and monitoring were separate, as well. I'm just posting about the day of my IUI's cost.

Our IUI and sperm washing was $225. This does not include the 5 b/w and u/s done prior, or the other tests we had done.
