Life Book question

If you got a life book and adopted from Guatemala, which life book would you recommend?

I didn't buy a "life book"...I just used a regular scrapbook for Maia.

A few of my friends have used "Lifebooks: Creating A Treasure for Your Adopted Child" by Beth O'Malley as a guide.

Did the exact same thing for dd and should be working on dss soon! Plan to give it to him for his fourth bday...although he already knows his story, as much as a three yo can

Here is the link Adoption Lifebooks

Now they also have a baby book. That one I purchased. Well, it is actually a combination of two books; Baby Chronicles and This is Me!. "This is Me" has several country editions.

I separated the relevent sheets from Chronicles and bonded them to "This is Me."

I have scrapbooks for my kids but Alondra, and soon Mateo, also have life books.. one that will have more of their personal story in it... so they can share their scrapbook but keep their life book more private.

I love mine since it is very flexible... you can take pages in and out and use a scrapbook style as well as more traditional (babybook) style stuff. I got it at the Adoptshoppe http://www.adoptshoppe.com/index.asp...ROD&ProdID=226 it looks like it is now only available through the company. It was expensive but it is beautiful and again it was the only one I found that was super flexible, I had the "this is me" book first but it just wasn't flexible enough.

I am also working on an ABC of adoption book for Alondra (thanks to Lotte's inspiration) and a "story of me" book for Mateo.. these are simple books that we can use now, age appropriate, when we are talking about their adoptions now.

I have the O'malley book as well...I like it but have kinda cobbled together my own way of doing things
