Agency in Ohio

Hello Everyone,

I've been lurking here for a few weeks. DH & I are thinking about adopting from Guatemala. We went to a seminar this weekend. Does anyone have an opinion on an agency by the name of Building Blocks. They are in Ohio and I'm not sure where else. If anyone would like to share any thoughts on this agency, please email me at darcy2@sbcglobal.net

Thanks so much. I've learned alot from all of you while I've been lurking on this board!

I don't remember what the comments were on Building Blocks. I do remember seeing them on a website that rated agencies. You'll have to do some checking to find out whether they were good or bad in other's opinions.

Does anyone remember the website that was out there? Looking at agencies was over 2 years ago for us.

good luck and sorry I wasn't much more help

Anyone emailing Darcy, email me also at timkrick@columbus.rr.com
If you remember a post awhile back we too are looking into agencies to adopt from China. We also live in Ohio. I hope someone finds that website that rates agencies.

Kris and Darcy,

Their used to be a link on the Guat Adopt site but It was deleted, so I went to the Intercountry survey and found this link:
http://www.adoptachild.org/IcarDotNe...?FullSite=True

I did find Building Blocks on that site- so check it out.....
I am sure they have lists for China adoptions too!!
I will e-mail you both as well....

Edited to add: Darcy, the best agencies for Guatemalan Adoptions continue to be HAPS, Karing Angels, and a few others that Traci has posted recently.....
I really recommend, because I was given the same advice to get on the St John Big List
You will get so much feedback and it is a great wealth of info.

Good Luck and Welcome to the board ladies!

Ditto what Amy said....

I just adopted 2 infants this past summer with Karing Angels and was very happy with them

If you want to pm me please do..I always like to help families that are first starting out

Remember..a main point when you are looking at agencies

YOU DO NOT NEED TO USE AN AGENCY IN YOUR HOMESTATE FOR PLACEMENT...YOU ONLY NEED A HS AGENCY IN YOUR HOMESTATE

SO IF YOU LIVE IN OHIO YOU DONT NEED TO USE AN AGENCY IN OHIO...LOOK AT AGENCIES WITH BETTER REPUTATIONS FOR GUATEMALA......

Some people dont know that so I thought I would post the info
