Okay -
I am about to apply for a job with Citicorp and they supposedly have IVF coverage - but will the cover me or will it be a "pre-existing" condition?
Anyone change jobs after dealing with IF to get IVF coverage and how did that go?

This is a GREAT question because I'm in the same boat. I'm self-employed and have an opportunity to purchase insurance through a group. I was also thinking about switching REs too. I wonder if the pre-existing condition thing will be an issue for me as well???

We were being treated for IVF, (just diagnosis) with one company (Kaiser)
and we ended up switching to another (BC/BS of CA) and we were covered. I never asked the question and dh thought it was because we never had a lapse in coverage. Maybe? I dunno, but it worked for me! Great question! I never would have called the new insurance company to ask though, as I didn't want to give them a reason to say no.

I believe when you change from job to job, the pre-existing condition should not apply. But if it does, if you didn't get any treatment within 6 months before getting the new insurance, then it is not considered as a pre-existing condition.
