S.A. results...Please give me hope!

Hi Sendai-
I'm sure all doctors give different numbers. But here's our experience with our RE. Before my DH's SA, the doctors said once you get counts under 5 million, the chances of IUI success drastically go down (less than 3 % success rate). He suggested that might be the cutoff for us as we were deciding IUI vs. IVF.

Your numbers are higher than that so maybe you'll still have a chance with IUI.

We repeated the SA twice and both times DH's numbers were under 100,000.
So IVF, here we come this fall!

Thanks for the posts! Sorry it's taken me a while to reply. I haven't been on in a while. We redid the test. My Dr sent us a note saying that the count was up to about 40 mil and that we should come in to discuss our options. She didn't give any other numbers. They haven't been the best about giving us the results of our b/w or SA's. They just try to explain it to me in layman's terms and avoid actuall numbers. I had to call and request the previous results. I suppose I will do that now since I have to wait until Aug 22nd to talk to the dr! With the first test there was some morph issues etc so it would be nice to see how those turned out this time. Thanks again for the support!
