About LinkBacksM c-section is set for this coming Tuesday... yikes - anyway my question is when will the doc take my cerclage out?? Before or after delivery of my son?

i just had my cerlage taken out last friday. they had a little trouble. some tissue grew around it. they had to prep the or and sadate me to remove the rest of it. it completely has to be removed befor you start dilating or it will tear your cervic. I am 37 1/2 weeks, with no cerelage. i had my cerelage put in at 18 weeks and was 4 centimeters dilated. good luck.

Jennie is right in the fact that if you want a Vaginal delivery then they do have to take the cerclage out around 36 wks. BUT since you are having a c-sec then they will just deliver your child and then take out the stitch. You won't feel a thing!!!
