Thank you for the information, Ally!!!

I am just starting to look into immune testing, as I am a bit cheesed off with the whole 'unexplained' thing.

Hopefully we can get to the bottom of our little IF niggles! Immune testing is not something my RE has much experience in so I am glad that this site has educated me on such procedures.

Good luck to all!!!

KayJay....

Glad to be of any help!!

It is good to know that you are not closing the door on your options and treatment alternatives... -I believe Immune testing and treatment is very far UNDER-RATED considering the many women that probably actually are suffering from this..

I think you should know some women actually are told high FSH and low ovarian reserves prior to entering immune treatment and once they get preconception immune treatment the docs are surprised to find that their FSH is normal and egg quality good! !

So there is hope that the "unexplained" bit is just an oversight and bit of ignorance on the part of the RE's who are testing and treating you.... I hope you can find the right docs who will put you on the right path - in my opinion it is sure worth the try as our first time with immune treatment has turned out to be my first successful prg.!! (currently still prg. at 6 mos /2ks)!

Love to you and best wishes for success.... -Ally

Immune Sites & treatment chart

Hi girls I am in the process of constructing a chart to track our diagnosis, treatment and hopefully success.

I really believe if girls who have had problems see the chart it would encourage them to get tested. We all know there are so many re's who don't believe immune issues play of roll in unsuccessful pg's. The chart would be the proof.

respond to this post with the info below if you want to add something else feel free and I will update the chart frequently.

name
yrs ttc
# m/c's
# of IVF's FET's IUI's
beta #'s before immune treatment
Diagnosis
treatment
beta #'s after immune treatment
current status (pregnant, given birth or in treatment)

Hi:

I'm Joey.

What a great idea since it will let other's know at a glance the variety of treatments that worked on others.

Number of years trying to conceive = 9

Pregnancy history =

1 m/c @ 7 wks in 1993

1 ds born at 36 wks due to PROM and PTL in 1995. Gestational growth stopped at 33 wks when PROM occured. Small for gestational age.

1 missed m/c @ 12.5 wks in 1997
1 m/c @ 8.5 wks - strong h/beat seen but sub-chorionic hematoma resulted in loss in 1997

1 dd stillborn at 34 wks due to blood clots in the placenta in 1999. Bleeding occured during wks 8-11. Placenta showed signs of premature aging and dd was gestationally small for age.

1 m/c at 8 wks - weak heartbeat but genetic results came back as normal male fetus in 2000.

1 m/c at 6 wks in 2000. Again, genetically normal male fetus.

1 ds born by emergency c-section at 33 wks in 2001 due to PTL and PROM. Bleeding occured during wks 8-13. Gestationally small for age.

Dx after stillbirth was +APA's. Treated with heparin and baby aspirin.

Undecided at this point on whether to pursue one more pregnancy as the risk of another PTL is considered high.

Immune issues

Did your RE do the specific immune tests you mentioned? Or did you have to get the process going yourself? Were the test expensive? And did insurance cover any of them? Thanks for your help. I've also had 4 early pregnancy losses.
