Question ANA levels?

Hi everyone,

Does anybody know what level of anti-nuclear antibodies (ANAs) is considered "high", in the world of IVF? Mine are at 1:640, which I think is pretty high, but my RE here says elevated levels can be found in healthy people. I just have a gut feeling that this is the cause (or one of the causes) of our implantation failure.

Also, for those of you with high ANAs, what has been your course of treatment? Steroids? IVIg? Itralipid? I live in New Zealand and the most anyone is willing to do on me here is steroids.

Thanks.

I have borderline + anti-nuclear antibodies. I will check my lab work for the ranges and let you know. I am taking Dexamethasone vs. presidsone for it. IVIG and Intralipids are typically for NKactivity and high th1/th2 cytokyne ratios, I believe.

i have borderline ANA and +APA and i was told that i needed to be rechecked since sometimes they can raise and lower by themselves.
I am taking baby aspirin for the +APA and thought that if i had the +ANA i would need heparin instead but not sure.
Do you know what the steroids do for the ANA? I am taking prednazone at the moment in hopes for a BFP and then running into the doc for IVIg treatment when BFP shows. I have very high natural killer cells and doc said this was a good treatment since i can get preggo, just dont ever stay preggo.
What about you ladies?

a high ANA can be a number of things.. you need to have them test you for APS... sometimes high ana's can come from that which would explain implantation failure

ANA- I was told anything over 320 is positive. My level in Jan was 2560!
Did a ton of labs and guess what they couldnt find a reason for it.
