high cytokines?

I've had multiple IVF failures and slowly my cytokines and my NKa cells have risen. Is the cause of this rising due to the multiple IVF failures? Do IVF meds cause your immune system to over react?

I have read that prednisone can help with high cytokines. In a natural cycle, when should you start taking the prednisone?

Hello babee! Did you try IVIg (intravenous immunoglobulin) treatment? I have 3 IFV failures and going to talk about this treatment with my RE. Its my only hope.

Have you thought about trying fish oil? Have you looked at Dr. B*eers book is your body baby friendly? I am seeing a reproductive immunologist who is working to get my levels under control. Prednisone does help to lower cytokines and nk cells though sometimes not enough. I started taking them 2 weeks before my cycle and they did reduce my cytokines to normal levels and some of my nks (but not all) to normal levels.

I met with an Reproductive immunologist (Dr. Kw*ak-Kim) and she did those tests for me. She is in Illinois but you can mail your blood to her.

Also if you are in Cal. check out the Beers center.

There is a sticky at the top of the page that talks about all the benefits of fish oil - but it is suppose to reduce nks.

I actually started taking prednasone last cycle for a femara cycle and at that time my nkc were at a high of 27, then AFTER a month of prednasone daily they went UP to a whopping 41!! Yikes, only me - only me..... everyone else they go down wiht treatment, me, they go up! **sigh**

Does anyone know if the stims or drugs can make the nkc go up?
