For those of you who have had more than one successful pg with immune issues...
I had a successful pg in 2007, resulting in the birth of my daughter now 2.25 yo, after three prior miscarriages over 3 years.
I have homo MTHFR, elevated NKa, and a raft of other blood issues (PAI, HPA-1) related to clotting. PLUS I have hormone issues - an inhibin B of 15 (!) and used a GonalF-IUI protocol (conceived three, two didn't make it past the 1st tri). I also had incompetent cervix, an emergency cerclage, bed rest, gestational diabetes AND a preterm birth (4.5 weeks early). Oh yeah, and I'll be 40 in two months. So for those of you who have gone this route again, did you go back to your RE and say "start me up again?" or did you look for alternative therapies, or options the second time? I'm in an awkward spot of having DH be unemployed right now, so the options for me to pay out of pocket for what I had to last time with GOOD insurance that covered IVIg and all my $1100-a-week doctor visits with Dr. Coulam in Chicago, are not there. I think he'll get work soon (he's had several interviews) so I may be 'back on track' for considering this in the fall again. Just looking for your opinion - how did you come to the decision to do it again, what were some of your deciding factors, did you change protocols? AnnS
