BFP - then what? (warning: preg and prior losses mentioned)

Hi!

Where do women post who are pregnant after immune and/or clotting RPL protocols?

The clinic and I are cautiously optimistic. My beta is significantly lower than with my other pregnancies and would like to chat with you if you have been or are going through this too.

I have not been tested for these issues, but RE has me on this protocol due to five prior losses in first trimester.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction and GOOD LUCK to you on your path!

Dana

Dana What wonderful news for you!!!

I'm sorry I've been in the middle of a move from regions far north to not so far north and started up another qualification course for my teacher's certificate also... so absent in the face of such important posts so sorry!!

I hope that your doc has at least advised you to take a 81 mg daily baby aspirin as precautionary and anti-inflammatory means of helping assist if there was RPL and clotting issues. Most women are referred to hematologists (like U.S. gals) and get tested for the whole scope of anti-phospholipid antibodies and other clotting factors that may sometimes only show up once there is a conception / prg. confirmed.

The mainstream form of treatment if clotting issues are suspect is also to take baby aspirin along with heparin / fragmin injections (daily blood thinners for purpose of sustaining). I think you may know quite a bit about this avenue from earlier convos' and other women's posts but hopefully you will advance nicely thru the entire 9 mos. and have the reassurances and meds in place that you may require.

Best of luck to you Dana... so happy for you :congrats:

love from Ally
