ATA, APS, ANA questions (pg ment.)
Hey ladies, I'm looking for a little advice. I recently got my BFP and am now 10 wks pg with twins. I was previously aware that I had anti thyroid antibodies and have been on prednisone 5mg 2x day for that since beginning IVF. Then last week I had a big bleed called a sub chorionic bleed where you get blood and clots behind the placenta. OB ran some more labs and I showed up positive for anticardiolipin antibodies and antinuclear antibodies. I had been tested for these a couple of years ago before I had my first dd and everything was negative then. Dr. started me on Lovonox once a day and referred me to a high risk specialist.
I guess I'm just not sure what this means for the duration of my pregnancy. How high of a risk does this put me at for late term miscarriage? or am I getting more safe now that I'm getting closer to 12 weeks? My peri appointment is next week so I'll ask him everything then, I just was wondering what others personal experiences were with these issues. Thanks!

Formerly Sam,
Congrats on your pg. Hopefully the lovenox will help. I have + ACA and I'm supposed to be on lovenox when pg. as well as baby aspirin. I haven't gotten pg. yet so can't answer your question. I think a high risk specialist is a good thing so they can monitor you closely. Keep us posted on the progress. I hope everything works out okay. Stacey |

hey formrly Sam,
I'm hoping that the lovenox is able to resolve the issue of the sub-chrionic hemorrage - many of us here have been in that same position. The fact that you are on prednisone and nearer the 12 wk mark can be a good thing and may have helped the situation out. Definitely a good catch and call for your high risk OB to keep tabs and to medicate the blood clotting issue though. Please let us know how you are doing as we will be worrying now.... Ally

Thanks for responding. Just a quick update...so far so good. The bleed has mostly gone away now and I am no longer spotting. I had allergic reaction to Lovonox (I was pretty sure this would happen from past experience) and am now on Arixtra with no problems. I'm feeling fine and hope that all continues to go well with the babies.
