ATA's pg ment.
Hey ladies, I just wanted to come over here and share. My history is that it took me 6 IVF's before getting pregnant with my dd (born 8/07). I have severe ATA's. My previous doctor treated me with medrol, lovonox/heparin, and IVIG. I did three cycles with him with no luck.
For my 6th cycle I finally got up the nerve to switch doctors. She took me off all of that stuff and only had me on the typical stuff but gave me prednisone early on. It worked. I really wasn't sure why it worked. Maybe because it was an FET maybe it was just my time, not sure. Anyway, I just finished my 7th IVF ttc#2. The doctor did everything pretty much by the book, but again I was on prednisone from first day of stims on and am now almost 6 weeks with #2. I really couldn't believe that it worked on my first try. I am almost convinced that the prednisone is what did it for me. I'm not sure how it differs from Medrol that I had been on earlier, but I only took the medrol from after retrieval on. For the past two cycles I have taken prednisone from day one of stims. Again, I'm not sure what the difference is, but I find it hard to believe that after 5 failed cycles that I've conceived two in a row while being on the prednisone. I just thought I would share my story in a small chance that it could help someone else. Even if that wasnt the cure for me it is certainly an easy and inexpensive thing to try out. Good luck everyone!

I take 5mg 2x day. Last time I took it through 12 weeks. I'm guessing it will be the same this time around.
As far as other probs go. I've had my NK's tested and they come back borderline. Not in the clear, but not in the black. Dr. said I'm in the grey area. I also have endo which is pretty indicative of immune issues. Aside from that I recently found out that my aunt on my Father's side has MS, and my grandmother on my fathers side has lupus...I guess I've got good genes! So who knows what the future holds. |
