Ig injections versus IVIG
Hi everybody, I'm new to the board, but already had 2 failed IVFs, now planning a Frozen cycle. I have 5 frozen 5-day blasts
I have an elevated level of the Killer cells and my doctor (in my part of the world) says that instead of IVIG I will get 2mg Ig ingections, she says they work the same. If any of you gone through the same treatment or knows about BFP cases I'd really appreciate that

poohbear, my RE says staright before FET and then if beta's positive every month until 20 weeks pg. Local Ig costs around $5 per 1,5 mg, I would say very cheap in comparison with solution, which is not available here at all. But RE says that we gonna use the one produced in India, which might cost a bit more, but still...
I know that in Russia some REs also use injections instead of IVIg, but it looks like they practise it only in this part of the world. I really hope that it will work, especially after we found the NK cells |

I did some research and I guess that is the way they used to give immunoglobulin years ago but it's very painful and supposedly not as effective. Who knows though. I also have nk cells that I chose to ignore which obviously was a huge mistake. I'm having my nk cell and nk activation b/w repeated as it's been almost a year before I proceed. Definitely such an expensive undertaking and one of the worst immune issue that people trying to get pg. have to contend with. I wish you much success.

poohbear,
thanks. I don't have much of a choice, so I will go for that and LIT. I also started taking fish oil, hoping that something might work eventually. RE sees no sense in trying without Ig. I'm in her hands now. Thanks again and good luck to you too. Last edited by Ponchik; 02-19-2009 at 08:14 AM. |

Pg. Ment.
Ponchik, Sounds like a plan. I agree with nk activity without tx. it's pretty much hopeless as I can attest to after 9 failed cycles since my loss and I've had two pg. to term with no problems. Things can obviously change. Good luck! HUGS |
