When to start Lovenox - after implantation?

I asked the nurse when I would start the Lovenox during the IVF processes, and I was told that I would start after implanation.

Does this sound right?

For some reason I thought I would start it after the transfer or before. I realize I have a few weeks to get this worked out, but I am concerned.

Does she mean after "transfer" as in when the embies are put in there to implant? or after a positive beta??

You are right, you are supposed to begin the lovenox at least by the time of transfer. Many girls will tell you that it is preferrable to begin the lovenox with the stims and stop just 24 hours prior to retrieval and begin again 24 hours after transfer. This will ensure a uterus lining that is being delivered the proper blood flow to assist with embryo implantation.

I hope this helps a bit. Please clarify with the nurse and advise that you've heard it should be begun pre-conception to allow for better blood flow to aid implantation process.
