Nationwide the statistic is roughly 50% success in the US. That means that half of the women get pregnant EVERY TIME THEY TRY. Regardless of whether it's the first, second, or 500th try for you personally -- half of all attempts every month are successful.

That so many people say "it's a trial run" is largely due to the fact that the 50% who had success on the first try are no longer on the Infertility sites. They've moved on to pregnancy and child-rearing sites.

You should be highly optimistic of success with 2 fresh and 2 frozen.

You're absolutely right! Society for Assisted Reproductive Technologies is a good site to check on the success rates of the clinics in the US. Although I don't believe success rates for one minute, it is a good measuring stick for research into the labs, which is the most important part of the whole IVF process. Sure, the RE doctor is great, but the real person every IVF patient should be checking on is the laboratory director.
