My daughter is 34 and she lost her only child suddenly last year.
She has been on Depo shots on and off for years. She is so depressed over losing her daughter MEGAN. I believe her only chance of getting better is getting pregnant. Not to replace Megan but to give her something to go on for. I hear people say that the Depo shot is a bad thing and most people can't get pregnant afterwards. If anyone has any information to help on this please respond. Thank You Worried Mom( Mavis)

((hugs)) to you and your daughter.
There is a board here for loss parents. It might help her to talk to others who have been there and understand like no one else can. Have her go here: http://www3.fertilethoughts.com/foru...splay.php?f=93 |

That baby is 13 now, and there were/are no problems. Birth control has never worked for her. She got pregnant while on the pill and even after she had her tubes tied. My neice is the total opposite of her aunt (me). There are only 7 years age difference between she and I.

A friend of mine was on the Depot shot and she was able to get pregnant. As a matter of fact, the doctor told her it might take awhile for it to get out of her system and that it may be months before she's able to conceive. However, she was pregnant within one month and didn't have any idea she was pregnant!! So, it's definitely possible to still get pregnant while on Depot and after.

Depo will not cause you to be unable to get pregnant. It is normal for it to take 12 to 18 mo after stopping to get pregnant. Some people get pregnant immediately (next cycle) and some take longer it just depends on their bodies.

I am so sorry your family is going through this difficult time. I don't know the specifics of Depo or when is the best time for her to begin TTC, but I do know acupuncture and Chinese herbs are wonderful for regulating hormones, ensuring good quality eggs, and relieving stress. There are many who specialize in fertility, but she may very well be able to conceive on her own without any help... My condolences and best wishes.
