Two week wait - do's and don'ts
Can anyone advise me on the do's and don'ts for my two week wait. I am just about to have ET and my first cycle failed so I wondered if I could get some advice to improve my chances for this cycle.

Thanks for the threads. They were really useful.
I've been told: Only one day bed rest is best. Only stand for 20 minutes. No bending, twisting, cooking, cleaning, lifting. Don't get too hot or too cold. Don't use any chemicals or perfumes and only use non perfumed soaps. No caffinated coffee or tea. If anyone thinks of anything else then please let me know. |

I worked in a fertility clinic for about a year as an MA while in school... what I used to hear the docs frequently telling patients was to go about life as usual, but not do anything they would regret... meaning if they were to not get pregnant, or if they had a MC, don't do anything that would make you feel as though it was your fault and blame yourself. Truth is, there is no special diet (there are pregnancy no-no's that you probably know of already) or activity restriction that will help or hinder your chances. That's what they said... your body is made for making babies and the baby is well protected in there. I am desperately trying to conceive too- but other than I quit smoking, I still go about life as usual.

Also, you might want to stay away from the news while during your 2ww. During the end of my 2ww, there was so much bad news (police shootings, a little girl went missing and later found killed).
I spent a lot of time watching the Food Channel. No bad news. I also did most of what YogaBabe mentioned. However my IVF was out of town so I did a lot of bed rest, relaxing and taking it easy. I tried my best to stay away from stress. I talked to the babies everyday several times a day and still do. Of course in my head and not outloud! Otherwise some people would think I am cuckoo. I talked to them since the ET and did what others mentioned in other post about thinking about them finding their place in the womb and sticking there during the 2ww. I would and still do tell them that I love them and can't wait to meet them! Good luck! Sending you all sticky vibes!
