IUI and IVF preparation
I know this sounds nuts, but have your RE check your uterus prior to doing and IVF or IUI. I did an IUI, got pregnant, and lost it, only later to learn I had a polyp that may have caused the loss (the words of my RE). Just to think it may have been avoided just by having a checkup first! Now we'll never know if the loss was due to the polyp or old eggs or some other reason.

So sorry to hear about m/c.
My RE had said he wanted to do another sonohystogram prior to starting IVF. Good thing he did. He found a polyp which was blocking the opening of my uterus. I had it removed last Friday and it didnt even interfere with my IVF protocol. I'm just wondering how many of those IUIs didnt work because of that polyp. Plus the sonohystogram is such an easy test. IMO, MUCH MUCH easier than the HSG. Great advice!! |
