pharmacy question

Can someone who has had to pay out of pocket for their meds tell me which pharmacies are reasonable. I just found out today my ins co made a mistake when giving my RE's office the info that my meds would be covered at 50% I am so upset and blown away by this I work for Yale New HAven Hospital and their coverage sucks. They only cover up to 4,000 for IVF and it's a 50/50 deal with none of my meds being covered you would think they would have good coverage. PLease I am desperate I am supposed to start Lupron within the next few days and have to sit and figure out if I can afford treatment.

I would love any IF coverage. Ours we pay 100% out of pocket for anything. I ended up calling around to the local pharmacies. Sams, Target, Walmart, Walgreens etc. I would check the price of each RX. I know some of the meds I got at a local place and others I got at Sams club.

Hi ladies!

My insurance doesn't cover any IF meds at all. It is all out of pocket for me.
I have ordered my meds from www.ivfmeds.com. The medication is coming from England and it is about 40% cheaper than you would pay here.

There is a form you need to fill out (it is on their website) and then you attach the RX from your doctor. That's it. You have the option to pay for rush delivery (delivered in 2 days, I believe) or the standard delivery (which is about 10 days).

I ordered my Lepori shots and the HCG trigger (Novarel) from through this website and everything was delivered on time.

Good luck & baby dust to both of you!

I also had to pay 100% out of pocket for my meds. So I did alot of shopping around. I found that Apothecary Shops out of Arizona were the best at pricing and customer service. THey delivered next day and unbelieveable pricing. The number is 877-792-7684.

Good luck you and lots of baby dust your way!

We don't have any insurance to cover any of the ivf or meds. This is our first time trying and I'm praying that it works! Our meds were a little over 1,500.00 when we ordered them.

Yes the injectables are expensive but they tend to work the best. I wish you the best. Tons of babysdust!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my iui meds a cycle if i had to pay would be about the same. I was taking gonalf, ganirellix, metformin, ovidrell. My insurance co pays on the drugs were $564. However, these next few cycles my drs hanged my protocol to Femera. THis is a very cheap drug. its a pill. has better success rates than clomid and it does not thin the lining of the uterus. wish u the best
