consultation questions
hello Tomorrow my husband and I are going to meet with the RE and discuss our BFN from our last IVF cycle and I was wandering if anyone had any advice or questions I should ask my doctor tomorrow during our appointment, maybe something that you wish you would have asked but didn't. And I heard that at Johns Hopkins they have a program that you pay $12,000 and they gurantee that you will become pregnant or they refund your money? Has anyone else heard this? This could be very helpful since we pay pretty much out of pocket and our last cycle was about $15,000.

"Guaranteed" or "shared risk" plans are pretty common. Read the fine print though...you'll likely have to qualify (FSH, age, # of previousl failed IVF cycles) and it isn't 100% of your money back...its usually a % based on age.
You might want to post this question on the IVF board. You'll get lots of responses there. You can look at www.sart.org to see the stats for Hopkins. I would also look at www.ivfconnections.com by region to see what people are saying about the different program. Here is the link for Maryland: http://www.ivfconnections.net/board/...splay.php?f=91 |
