    Do stretch mark creams work?

I am 5w1d and have started using Palmer's tummy cream on my belly, hips and thighs (oh, and the girls!!) Does it help at all? or am I wasting my time? I am also drinking LOTS of water!!

It never helped me. I think if you get them you get them. I got them growing up too, during puberty. Sorry to be a bummer. Hope someone else has better news for you!

I agree-I have been using palmers cocoa butter and the only thing i notice is that they are slighty less dark but nothing takes them away even though they claim too-i think its just genetics!

I've been using Palmer's since day 1. I'm now 39w2d without a stretch mark to be found. (Knock on wood). I think genetics plays a role though...someone once said that if you "try to pinch an inch" on your belly once you start to show and you can pinch an inch that you won't get stretch marks. I still have some skin to pinch, so hopefully I'm home free! I heard the belly stick from The Body Shop works (not sure if they have The Body Shop in the US). Good luck!!

I used Palmer's Cocoa Butter too-- religiously!!! I went 42 weeks and not a single stretch mark.

Creams do nothing for stretch marks. It makes your belly smell nice, and the rubbing feels great though.

Stretch mark creams are only marketing ploys, as far as I am concerned.

I didn't get a single stretch mark until I hit 30 weeks or so. Then all hell broke loss.

I didn't get any until the last month or so, but they've faded over time.
