    Question operative hysteroscopy??

Well I had my Shg today. My ovaries look fine. However the doc found what he believes to be a very large polyp. He isnt sure, but there is some mass there. The ultrasound wasnt very clear because for some reason he wasnt able to get my uterus to cooperate with him. So I am going to be scheduled to go in for a surgery next week. Its a minor surgery I am told. He is just going to dilate my cervix and go in with a scope to look around. Remove it, if its a polyp. I am scared s**tless. Has anyone else had this done before? I need input.

Here's some informative info for you to take a look at: http://my.clevelandclinic.org/servic...teroscopy.aspx

Many women here have had the procedure done....you can also scroll down thru the threads and find several of them about hysteroscopy.

Good luck with your procedure...it's understandable that your nervous about it. I'm sure all will go just fine!

Coasties girl - Shelli is right. It is a very minor surgery, especially since you are having your's done without laproscopy. I had two uterine polyps removed in January. Had a very little bit of bleeding for one day. I had laproscopy with mine on a Friday and I was in my friends wedding on Sunday. Even went to the rehearsal on Saturday night. No biggie! Good luck!

I've had it. No problems at all, they did find a few polyps which they removed. Woke up sore and with a little spotting but very quick recovery.
Even had DH take me to Dunkin Donuts on the way home.

    Good luck
