I'm glad to start this journey with you all. My EDD is Dec. 3.

Cville, After failed Clomid, Femara and injectable cycles, we moved on to IVF. I wasn't able to do a fresh transfer because I hyperstimulated. We transferred two frozen embyros on March 17. I can't recall, did you do a Clomid or injectable cycle?

Bella and Amanda, I was in complete shock at 5 weeks. I was still shocked when I received news about my second and third betas. This has been a long journey for me, and sometimes I can't believe it is happening … that is until nausea and fatigue sets in. Despite that and all the other wonderful symptoms of pregnancy, I am happy to finally get a BFP. Congrats to both of you again!

Amanda, I would definitely ask for a second beta.

Yes, a second beta is always good to make sure the pregnancy is progressing well.

    LadyAnne, we did injectables.

I don't think it starts seeming "real" until you can start telling everyone, esp when you don't really have any symptoms (I've been lucky so far!). Though I can already tell my uterus is getting bigger (that apparently happens way earlier with your second pregnancy).

    Hi ladies,

Nico - thanks a million for setting up this new thread, you are the best!

Bella, LadyAnne, CVilleMom, Saran, anybodyelse I missed - I still can't believe I am actually joining this Vets board after reading about your BFPs just a few weeks ago. THIS IS SO EXCITING TO JOIN YOU ALL to go through this together!! Funny how we all thought we'd not get a baby before 2011 and we'll most probably all end up with a very special xmas gift

Amanda - I agree with everybody else, you should definitely request a second beta. It got me very reassured to know everything was progressing as well and fast as it should, and will surely help you wait until the first u/s.

AFM - Despite my symptoms (sore/bigger boobs, a very suddent, insisting feeling of hunger and a lot of bloating) I am really not realising this is IT! this week has been very stressful as my mind keeps on racing at night about the worst and preventing me from resting or really enjoying our good news. I know it is a bit stupid given that my 2 betas went well but I think my stress might be due to the fact I was so sure it would take me a while to conceive naturally and the BFP really took me by surprise (not that I am complaining of course!) so I just hope my body is really ready...
But hopefully my u/s on Saturday should help getting me all the needed re-assurance I seem to require to let all this joy out and forget about the worst case scenario.
has anybody else been bloated btw?

Good luck for all the upcoming u/s, can't wait to read the latest news from you all!
    Take care

cville - You're so right. I absolutely cannot wait to get to that point of sharing with everyone. For now, I'm just so excited to see a little bump...anything to confirm this is really happening!

UAE - Hey!! Thank you so much for your sweet post on the main board. I'm so happy we're here together! So excited to hear how your u/s goes on Saturday! And how much did you love completing your signature with a BFP?

Ladyanne/UAE - I'm definitely going to go for a second beta!

So with that said, if my first beta was yesterday (Wednesday) when should I go for my 2nd? Over the weekend?

Amanda - You noticed the signature too hum *blushing*

I had my first beta on Saturday and the second one on Tuesday, but my doctor told me I could come Tuesday or Weds (of course, Weds would have been like adding another eternity to the Sat-Tues one I had just gone through so, that was an easy pick haha)
I think you have to wait 48 to 72 hrs for the second one.

    Happy friday, ladies!

Uae--i have definitely felt bloated lately as well, but for me, I think it is actually from the weight gain I went through to get my BFP more than the pregnancy itself. I am definitely at an akward stage so far as clothing goes. Most of my pants are too tight, but I don't want to buy new ones a size bigger since I will probably be buying maternity clothes soon. I've actually thought about the "bella band" (those bands you can wear over your pants so that you can leave them unbuttoned), but that feels a little silly at only seven weeks! So, for now, I'm sticking to lots of dresses and my one comfortable pair of jeans. I will gladly deal with the limited closet options--it is all so worth it

Amanda--glad you'll get the second beta. I agree with what the others said, it is reassuring to know things are heading in the right direction, especially if you have to wait a few weeks for the first u/s.

Cville and lady anne--hope you are both doing well!

Good morning ladies! What a week, the HA board is on a roll!

Bella - I'm feeling the same way...I could have used that bella band 2 months ago when I wasn't even pregnant! It seems like everything is too tight, especially my summer clothes...but it's a very small price to pay!!

UAE - good luck at your u/s tomorrow, I can't wait to hear how your litte one(s) is/are doing!

So, I was just wondering if any of you are starting to feel nauseous or have any food aversions? I'm thinking it's too early for me yet, but I was just curious how you're all feeling...

I'm going for my second beta tomorrow at 7:30am. I'll let you know once I hear the results

    TGIF!
    Amanda

Amanda--I've been very lucky with the nausea so far--it has been very mild, and I notice it most in the late morning when I'm getting hungry for lunch or when I'm on the subway. Sometimes, I think it'd be nice to have more nausea just to know things are okay, but I'm sure that feeling wouldn't last very long! In general, I'm mostly just feeling very fatigued and find I need much more sleep. I haven't had any food aversions per se, though the large salads I usually eat for lunch are much less appealing these days, as is yogurt for some odd reason. I have had major cravings for red meat, which is very unusual for me. I usually have a burger once a year at most, but have definitely craved them lately.

UAE--just realized your u/s is tomorrow. Best of luck!!
