Millie- YAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! CONGRATS CONGRATS CONGRATS!! Great first beta number, I am SO SO happy for you!!!
Ruby- yeah on getting through the nap transition and I hope you feel better sooner than you think!
Nico- sending you lots of good house selling vibes!! Congrats on new house. Keep us posted on insurance and IVF, crossing my fingers.
Jen- Sorry the recovery has been rough...but at least it is over with now, get better soon!
Violet- SO good to hear from you!! Glad the babes are doing wonderfully!
Ang- how's little girl? Position?
Amy- Glad to hear you are able to have longer times between feeds now...you start to get a little bit of your life back when you aren't feeding so much, I know!
Kaytee- Sorry, I have no experience with mid cycle spotting! Keep us posted on the Oing...hopefully it won't be as long as your first BFP!!
Robin- Thinking of you and little cutie Sam!
AFM- In childcare hell right now....our nanny was diagnosed with cancer last week so she is taking some time off. She got a church friend to replace her which is super nice but she comes from really far away and was already 30mins late this am because of train delays. So I'm not sure how long it can work. May be looking into daycare sooner than we anticipated...we were hoping Sept. because Auden's feeding isn't quite where we want it yet for daycare, still needs a lot of individualized attention and patience when eating. I feel so bad for my nanny though...she misses Auden already and Auden is missing her like crazy...looking at the new woman, like- who the heck are you? Ugh.

Millie-Congrats on such an awesome beta

Amy-Hayden was a cat napper too
He would do a short morning nap, noon time, and late afternoon nap. And if he fell asleep in the car, forget about it. And yet he didn' need any sleep training at night. I agree with Ruby, when they start moving themselves around they tire out more quickly. Hayden's naps turned into two long naps, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. We still are doing two naps, 9:30am and 1:30p. He goes to bed at 6:30p. We tried to go to two naps, but he wasn't ready yet. My best advice is find her pattern of tiredness and go with it. Good luck
Jen-Sorry your recovery is going rough. Hang in there
Ruby-I can't believe your NT scan is next week. That is the scan that we could see Haydens little boy parts
No lie it was so obvious. I think it is so exciting that you guys are finding out the sex. You can get your nursery all set and ready to go
Sorry your still feeling yucky, but it is a good thing.
Bluejay-I think this may be your month!!! It took me just shy of 6 weeks to get AF.Have you had any discomfort or bloating? I think somewhere around week 4 or 5 I started getting super bloated and feeling yucky. I hope it happens soon for you. Fingers crossed
Atty-So sorry about the daycare issue. And your poor nanny
I definitely agree that it is so nice to have help at home and to be one-on-one. Do you have any friends that can refer someone to you?
AFM, 6dpo (i think) today. Hoping AF doesn't show up early. Yesterday I did some reminiscing of old times and I went thru my old post on the HA board. Two years ago this week I found out I was pregnant with Hayden (5/4/2009). It was very difficult to go thru some of the old post, but it was so awesome to read the one when i posted my first beta. It definitely brought back some memories, good and bad.

Ruby - I cannot believe you aRE 11 WEEKS already! I am so excited that you and DH are going to find out the sex!!! When I was 12 weeks, I looked about 18 weeks, and when I was 20 weeks, I looked 26 weeks. I look like I am going to pop right now! I am very uncomfortable and I am just so ready to meet her.
Atty - Sorry about the nanny situation...it is never fun! Will you still work from hom in the fall when Auden goes to daycare?
Jen - Hope you feel better soon!
Amy - Owen was a great napper and still is so I don't have much advice for you. I trained him using the EASY method via the sleepwhisperer.
AFM - Baby is still breech and I am really scared for the c-section. I am scared for the surgery and concerned about the recovery period. I have gotten some good advice so that has helped. I have 2 more weeks of work left and I am off until September 5!

Atty-I'm so sorry to hear about your nanny! That's awful! Do they think the cancer is treatable? Have you had A on any daycare waiting lists? His eating may actually improve at daycare. L eats all his veggies at daycare, but throws them on the floor at home. I've heard from a lot of people that the "peer pressure' at daycare can have a positive effect on eating. Praying it all works out for you. Switching up the routine is never easy! I'm about to change my work schedule (going from the 11:30pm-7:30am shift to the 4pm-11:30pm shift) and I'm trying to figure out my new situation as well. I'm someone who dreads change!
Ruby-Your description of A's meltdown sounds exactly like L as of late. He gets frustrated SO easily. I don't know if it's just his temperament or if it's a stage! I hope it's the latter! 11 weeks-awesome! I think you're having another girl
It will be fun to find out! Do you definitely rule out a #3?
Bluejay-Exciting you'll be TTC soon!
Tac-I'm anxiously awaiting your news to see if this month may be it!
Nico-Congrats on getting the house on the market! Any interest/good responses? I think you'll feel like a new woman once you're settled in your new house.
Amy - Nice to hear from you! I have to say that A is such a fabulous night sleeper! That's huge!
Jen-feeling any relief? I'm sorry it's been such a bad experience.
Jess-remind me where you stand in your cycle...Me (37) DH (41) Dx: HA. 4 Fresh IVF Cycles in 2008 = all BFN. Gained 15 lbs, cut back exercise/stress. Went on bromocriptine to lower prolactin level. Got AF back in 12/08. + HPT after 2nd natural ovulation. Baby boy born 11/09. TTC #2 for over 8 months. 4 failed clomid rounds. Back on bromocriptine for 3 months & conceived baby girl born 1/12. Ttc #3??

Millie- We have actually thought of that as well, maybe he will eat better when seeing all the others eat. But currently the issue is although he no longer gags, he keeps food, especially meat, in his mouth for a really long time. He just keeps chewing and chewing and chewing. So it takes him literally 40 mins to eat 1 chicken nugget, if we are lucky. His therapist said he is doing this trying to get to almost a pureed state in his mouth and then he will feel comfortable swallowing. He has made great strides the last two months, so I am hoping it will just get better with time. But I'm not sure if this is the issue, that watching other kids eat will do anything. You know? That is why shooting for daycare in the fall. We have four at-home daycares we have been in contact with, they don't do traditional wait lists, but usually there is a lot of movement in Sept. when older kids leave. However, he has already been accepted to a preschool for when he is 2.5, haha. The daycare and preschool waitlists in this area are insane! And you...still on Cloud 9?
Tac- Good luck!! Yes, very emotional to read some old posts sometimes, but nice to remember how far we all have come!
Ang- Try not to be too scared for the c-section! Your little girl will decide the best way to come into this world and it will be just perfect for her and you. Yeah, I'm at home for good. 94% of attorneys in my agency work from home so if I were to go back to the office it would be pretty lonely and not make much sense.

Tac - hope the 2ww is going quickly for you! (not sure if you are TTC or just hoping for a long LP?)
Jen - hope you are feeling better!
Ruby - sorry to hear about the tantrums - I'm not looking forward to that! 11 weeks seems to have gone really fast (to me, but probably not to you -
)
Bluejay - hope AF shows soon!!
Atty - that is heartbreaking about your nanny. I have a good friend who just found out her live-in nanny has cancer. It is so sad because the nanny is a family member to them so they are taking it really hard.
Millie - good luck with the work schedule change. I'm the same way with dreading change but I'm sure you'll be back to a routine within a week or two of switching.
AFM, I'm not sure what the spotting was about but I got a positive OPK today!
It is CD 22 which is pretty late but WAY better than my pre-pregnancy cycles that were super long so no complaints.
Diagnosed with HA in 2007; did several cycles of failed injections/IUI in 2008; did extended Clomid protocol end of 2008; started cycling on my own early 2009; BFP in May 2009; son Jacob born Feb 2010; TTC #2 starting April 2011

Editing to add that somehow I missed two pages of posting, so most of the stuff mentioned below is outdated. Ang, I'm hoping your baby still turns! Ruby, I echo everybody else that I can't believe you are so far along! Kaytee, congrats on the positive OPK! Atty, I am really sorry to hear about your nanny. Bluejay, good to hear from you!
Violet, I totally meant to say HELLO to you a few days ago when I came on to congratulate Millie on her bfp. I think about you a lot and am really happy that you took the time to give us an update.
Nico, have you done any more thinking about IVF? I know it's a hard decision, but I swear making the decision to do it was the hardest part. That being said, I hope you get your bfp naturally and don't have to give it another thought.
Tac, good luck for you this cycle!
Jen, that sucks about your wisdom teeth, I really hope that you get relief soon.
I wanted to thank all of you for your advice on breastfeeding. Sam had her one month checkup yesterday and had gone from the 3rd percentile in weight two weeks ago to the 25th yesterday. Her height and head percentiles also went up a lot, so I am thrilled, and it gives me extra incentive to stick with having her seemingly permanently attached to my boobs. It seems like early evening seems to be her peak feeding time, did anybody else notice trends with their babies?
I hope everybody else is doing well!Last edited by mrspick; 05-04-2011 at 08:24 PM.

Atty-we actually have the opposite problem - L doesn't chew his food ENOUGH! He will literally INHALE a chicken nugget. It is seriously ridiculous. The girls at daycare say they've never seen anything like it. I totally worry about him being obese one day or having to struggle w/ his weight b/c he is literally a bottomless pit. In fact, I was at the mall w/ him the other day and a little girl pointed at L and said, "Mommy, he has a BIG belly!" I don't know if I just project my own food issues on him. DH says he's fine and that we've never struggled w/ our weight, so neither will L. We're seeing a new pediatrician (Dr Winicoff Nico!) In a week, so I'm curious what he'll have to say. We need for A + L to meet somewhere in the middle! I guess as a parent you always worry about SOMETHING! I still think A will really benefit from daycare. A fall start sounds like a good plan.
Kaytee-congrats on O! I O'd on CD20 this month. My last BFP I O'd on CD29. That's very encouraging news for you.
Robin-great news on S's weight gain! You should be so proud of yourself. I have to admit I'm nervous about bfing again b/c it didn't go so well the first time around.
Nico-how did your appointment go?
Tac-any symptoms?
Ruby-remind me when your next appt is?
Ang-thinking of you! So exciting!
AFM, I originally scheduled an U/S for May 13th, but I think I'm going to call in the morning and try to get it moved up to the 9th. I definitely need some reassurance! I'm much more nervous this time around...Me (37) DH (41) Dx: HA. 4 Fresh IVF Cycles in 2008 = all BFN. Gained 15 lbs, cut back exercise/stress. Went on bromocriptine to lower prolactin level. Millie - my NT scan is May 10. How many weeks will you be if you move your u/s forward? You don't want to make it too early and stress yourself out that way! I know exactly how you are feeling though, I have been so much more nervous this time around. The wait for my first u/s was excruiating and yet was still over 2 weeks earlier then first time around. And we are definitely stopping at 2. The nausea and vomiting I experience is so debilitating and I have found it so much harder taking care of a toddler as well. Sounds like Liam is enjoying daycare (and the food!). Abbey loves daycare, it's so cute to see. Glad I'm not the only o e experiencing tantrums either!
Atty- I'm so sorry to hear about your nanny. It makes it so hard too when obviously auden has a good relationship with her. I hope you sort something out!
Kaytee- yay for ovulating! So in the 2ww wait now
Robin - great work on sam's weight gain! You will have to post another pic for us.

Kaytee-You Oed!!! That is fantastic, and not bad on CD 22
Are you TTC yet? I really don't want to TTC until this summer, maybe around July. But I also didn't realize that I was going to O a day and a half later, after DH and I did "the deed"
. So part of me says wait to try this summer, and the other part of me thinks, "wow, if i get preggo this cycle, I would've done it without thinking at all!!" The reality is, I am not that lucky, but there is a chance. I am 9dpo today. So 5 days left to see if AF shows, and if nothing I will test.
Millie-Getting an u/s on the 9th would be awesome. And it is right after mothers day
Do you have any symptoms? Are you on progesterone?
Ang-Sorry baby is still breach. But it is really not that bad. I think being prepared for a c-section is much better than an emergency section. Have you been doing any exercise during the pregnancy? I definitely feel that keeping up my physical activity while I was pregnant with Hayden, helped me to recover much faster. And I can't believe that you are only 2 weeks away from your due date, that is just so crazy. I don't know about you, but it seems like your pregnancy flew by so fast.
AFM, 9dpo today. I don't know about symptoms, whether I am reading into them or not? Yesterday I was trying to do intervals on the treadmill, and just after one minute I was totally out of breath (very unusual for me). I was sweating buckets!! And I have been unusually dizzy and hungry. All of which could be pre-mestrual, i guess. I definitely feel tender down in the lower abdomen, but I guess I have to wait and see. Although I was not expecting to TTC so soon. It would be really nice to have done it without "thinking", "charting", "planning". I have always wanted to be one of those women who "just get pregnant without trying"
