Ruby - Congrats on the good scan. What a relief! You are officially out of the 1st trimester...I am so happy for you!! Our bean measured big at my 11 week ultrasound too (about 1 week ahead), but at my 20 week scan, it was right on track. My OB doesn't change due date unless multiple scans indicate an inaccurate EDD. And now that they are measuring my uterus externally, I last measured a week "big" again. With my 1st pg, I measured ahead at the end too...and DD was 9lb3oz, 22.5 inches! She was born one week before my EDD. All this to say, I don't think you should put much stock in the measurement at this point, but it will be interesting to see how things progress! My DH and I have "big" genes too.
Ellie - How was your anniversary getaway?

Congrats Ruby!! That's great news. That's so cute of DH asking about the fingers and toes. I swear, that's how I'm going to be. I'm hoping everything goes well for me on the 30th and the u/s will look like a baby!
Allison - So exciting that you're 35 weeks. I can't remember, did you have a C-section with DD?
Ellie - Happy to hear you're feeling better now! We're waiting on that new belly pic
Eliza - I know you're not feeling well lately, so I hope you were able to take care of yourself and fight off that bug you & DD were dealing with.
Carol - I've been meaning to tell you that I LOVE the pics of Sarah. So precious. Such a great idea to have them done. You'll treasure them forever.
AFM, nothing new to report. The new job is going well and I'm just trying to take it one day at a time. I have to admit that I'm counting down the days till my u/s on the 30th! I have total u/s withdrawal!Me (37) DH (41) Dx: HA. 4 Fresh IVF Cycles in 2008 = all BFN. Gained 15 lbs, cut back exercise/stress. Went on bromocriptine to lower prolactin level. Ellie, you look *great*!!
Ruby, I'm so glad that your scan was good. I would say to really push NOT to have your due date changed. They wanted to change mine with Timmy, as he was measuring NINE days big at my NT scan, I really fought not to have it changed as I was expecting to go late based on my mom and my sister both having delivered 1-2 weeks past their due dates. My doc finally agreed... my due date was 9/19 (they wanted to make it 9/10), and Timmy was born 9/18. I was expecting that he might be big, but he was 7lb5oz and 20 inches, so really pretty average. I didn't want them changing my due date because I was positive about when I O'ed, and I didn't want them going all induction on me because I was past a due date I knew was incorrect. My 2c :-)
Allison,I'm excited to find out if you're having a boy or girl! Do you have any suspicions? I thought all along that Timmy was a boy... and obviously I was right!

Nico - that makes sense, I am also going to push to not have the EDD changed because I definitely know when I ovulated and I would hate for them to push for an induction knowing I was still early!
Allison - Wow, 9lbs 3 ozs! That was a big baby! You are SO close now!
Millie - I am sure everything will look great at your next scan. You saw the heartbeat which really reduces the chance of something going wrong! How many weeks will you be at your next scan? Its so cool seeing the baby beginning to form, such a magical feeling!
Ellie - nice pics! You look great and so happy
I have started doing my pregnancy pilates class which I am really enjoying. Of course, I am surrounded by huge bellies and felt like an imposter with my barely noticeable bump
Now that I am starting to feel a bit better I am itching to get back into some exercise routine (without over doing it of course!).

Ellie - You are such a supermodel...I love the pics.
Cute little bump!
Nico - I really don't have a gut feeling this time. If I had to pick, I'd say girl. But last time I was CONVINCED boy, and obviously I was wrong. So my intuition isn't the greatest!
Mille - No, I delivered DD vaginally. I had to be induced because my water broke and labor wasn't progressing fast enough (most OBs want you to deliver within 36-48 hours if your water breaks, because of infection risk). I really hope I don't have to be induced this time. The pitocin (inducing med) was brutal for me. Are you working nights? I thought I remembered you saying the new job was night hours. Hoping the 2 weeks until 4/30 goes quick for you!

Ellie - You look awesome!
Allison - God bless you with your DD birthing experience! I hope this time around is a little easier for you
I have been working days the past month, but come the end of May I'll be moving to nights. I hope it goes ok!
Ruby - I'm 9 1/2 weeks now, so I'll be 11 1/2 weeks for my appointment. I think it's great you got yourself involved in that class. I haven't been exercising at all, and I'm so afraid I'm gonna be SO out of shape. Oh well...I'm hoping once I'm in the 2nd trimester I'll be up for exercising again. Right now I'm just lucky to get myself through the day at work!
Nico - That's an interesting point about not moving up your EDD.Me (37) DH (41) Dx: HA. 4 Fresh IVF Cycles in 2008 = all BFN. Gained 15 lbs, cut back exercise/stress. Millie - dont worry I didn't exercise AT ALL during the first trimester, I was just too sick. And even though I lost 10 lbs I now feel flabby and horrible. I was examining my thighs in the mirror today and it was upsetting! But I know I shouldn't complain because being pg is everything I have wanted. But I am anxious to do SOMETHING exercise wise so at least it feels like I am doing something! Maybe you and I can have heaps of energy in the 2nd trimester and get an exercise routine going (after all we have to make up for the twin mommy's who might not be able to!

Hello there..some of you may know me from the hypothalamic board. I just got my + blood test and hcg of 90 yesterday at 13dpo. I'm cautiously thrilled and so scared I could cry. I hope you ladies don't mind me giving a bit of history to explain:
I have two sons, one who is 12 and my other son who passed away 31/2 years ago to brain cancer. Those pregnancies were super easy...and I became pregnant very easily with them. Fast forward to after my son passed away. My cycles became very inconsistent due to the stress and grief. I didn't get a period for 4 months. I then got it somewhat regularly, but lost it again when I lost a bunch of weight from undereating and overexercising.
I started clomid and after one round ovulated. 11dpo I started bleeding heavily and they assumed a period. We all did. The bleeding didn't stop, but I started my next round of clomid cd5. The bleeding intensified and long story short it was an ectopic pregnancy. They never found it on my tube or anywhere, but there was nothing in my uterus and the bleeding just kept coming so I received the treatment and it stopped.
Fast forward to now. I just finished my first round of clomid and here I am, with a positive pregnancy test. The good news is that this time I'm not bleeding at all and I'm 14 dpo whereas the last time I was bleeding heavily at 11dpo. I have some symptoms such as fatigue, tender nipples and breasts, and my pregnancy tests are darkening each day.
However, I also have a burning/pulling/slightly crampy sensation in my ovaries, particularly in my left side. It's not constant or even painful, just there and I'm so scared I'm having another ectopic! I did have this type of feeling the last ectopic pregnancy, but the multiple u/s I had couldn't find anything on those areas so it never confirmed the cramps were from the actual ectopic.
I go in tomorrow for anothe beta and I'll know more. I also have been very bloated and gassy and seem to bloat after every meal I eat.
So sorry for the book...but do any of you who have a normal pregnancy experience the ovary-area twinges/burning sensation or bloating? I'd love any input..thank you!
