cycle - Yeah, I'm afraid for tomorrow. Usually I would have no problem drinking steadily from 3 pm until whenever. But seeing as how I do not drink with the BFing, I am going to have to pace myself somehow!
For quite awhile (first month or so) I just fed them one at a time right after each other. That took forever!! Finally one day I just piled up some pillows and did a football hold with each of them. It was so much better!! I then ordered the twin E-Z nursing pillow and used that for many months while they were very little. Now I just use pillows again.

ks- bella only slept in our room the first 2 nights, then we moved her to her crib in her room right next to ours, she sleeps soundly with a white noise machine turned on in her sleep positioner!! I can hear her even without a monitor the room is so close!

bella, I hear you on the weight thing - it's actually been harder for me to deal with this time with just about everyone on here back to pre-pg weight in about two days LOL. I lost 10 lbs in the hospital, another 10 after I stopped retaining water, and I've pretty much been sticking there, about 6 above pre-pg (which was not thin like some of the gals on the board either - 135 at 5'5.5". So it makes me feel a little better too knowing that I'm not the only one. Of course if I stopped eating all the chocolate and cookies I've been snacking on during the day it would probably go down pretty quickly, but I just can't help myself. Interestingly, my belly has gotten smaller a lot more quickly than it did after Ant (I still look about 12 weeks pg though) - I think partly because I've started doing exercises for my diastasis (abdominal separation) already, and I also bought a post-partum support belt at BRU that I feel like has really helped as well - it def makes my tummy smaller while I'm wearing it - but it also seems to stay smaller afterwards as well, which I find very interesting.
Another interesting thing, my letdown is SO much stronger this time than it was with Ant, to the point where it's actually painful. I can feel multiple letdowns while nursing too, which doesn't happen much from what I've read. BUT, I'm hardly leaking at all, where with Ant I was leaking like a faucet. Bizarre!!
Running girl, I missed the post where you fixed your pics, so went back and found it - Emma is so totally cute!!! I love the pics of her lying on the boppy in your arms, adorable.
Someone just asked (sorry can't remember who just read through 4 pages of posts) about if a baby can gain too much? I really don't think so - at least I hope not! We just had Timmy's 1 month apt, and he was 10lb 8oz, so up more than three pounds over his birth weight. The doc didn't seem concerned at all.
spin, welcome! I'm so glad that everything is still going well with your pg. You got a home doppler, right? Are you able to find the babe's hb with it? And do you plan on finding out the gender when you can?
I wasn't swaddling Timmy at first, but now he's started startling himself awake, so I am. Someone else mentioned the grunting while they try and get themselves out of the swaddle - Timmy does that too, and he's even managed to get himself out of the velcro swaddle! I think it's a good thing, though, because then they are less dependent on the swaddle and it's easy to get them out of it in a few weeks when they're not startling to wake anymore.
Twiggy, I hear you on the looking big - up until the end of the second tri I consistently looked about 6 weeks bigger than I had with Ant. It slowed down in the third though, and I ended up being about the same size. A few people commented that I looked further along than I was, but I never took it in a negative way - *I* thought I did too! :-) I really dont' think that when people say stuff like that that they have bad intentions, so I chose to take it in that perspective. Post another belly pic?
Must go and do some cleaning - have a good night all!

I am behind 13 pages, so I am sorry not to comment on much. But I saw Nico's reference to weight loss and I thought I would add that I am 3 months out and I still don't fit in my normal cloths. I fit in some of my "big" pants, but not the rest. My waist is still too thick. So Bella, you are not abnormal. 4 weeks is nothing.

KS- We keep Emma with us at night...not sure when we'll transition, but I'm thinking it'll be a couple months. We really like having her close
Gina- we just have a basic monitor right now, but I'm wishing we had a video one!
Nico- thanks! i think she's totally cute too, but of course I'm a little biased
So Emma took a paci for an extended period for the first time tonight and even rode in her carseat to my parents without screaming. AND, she bi-passed her usual cranky time this evening and slept like an angel. DH is out of town right now, so I feel quite proud of myself

klc - omg, that's an enviable amount of milk!!! i'm lucky if i get 2ozs per side, usually it's more like 1.5. And it kind of hurts - does pumping feel uncomfy to anyone else? I wish i could build up a store but...
spin - congrats!!!
twiggy - would love to see more pics of z. is he better now?
nic - you look wonderful so trash that scale! i'm also addicted to choc and cookies now, trying to wean off them...
re bathing, j likes the warm water but poor thing seems to feel so vulnerable. i guess they get used to it or are the other newborns already used to it?
this post has taken hours and i haven't replied to half of what i wanted to! on the umpteenth feed of the night....

Nico - So how is it with 2? Is it utter chaos? I have to admit I'm a bit nervous! I did get the dopplar and can now find the HB no problem...if fact, I can find it faster than my OB's nurse, who admittedly is a bit of an idiot...

allison- someone on here recommended the motherhood brand "bella" band. it is one size fits all vs different sizes like the bella band and you can go to the store and check it out. i can still use mine with a couple pairs of pants. i think they were both the same prices.

Allison- I got mine at Motherhood. I think it's called a Belly Band? Anyway, I think it was around $17....I think you get a price break if you buy 2. I definitely got my moneys worth out of mine!
