I said I was going to post more than don't get a chance.
Allison-I remember we were together TTC! It was so awesome when we BFP at the same time! Sorry about your sad xmas. My uncle had a massive stroke Xmas morning. My dad was at hospital most of the day, it made for not the greatest xmas.
Bebe-hope your mom is doing well after her surgery. Poor Maddie! Glad she is on the mend. We had that stomach bug hit our house. It was terrible. DH got it the worse, luckily jack had a small touch of it, and I got some form of it.
Jaymie-That is infuriating! So unprofessional and unfair. Can't believe how close you are I hope it all works out soon!
Stef B-you look amazing and congrats you deserve it!
Jac-yay for the +OPK!
Nico-temping can be tricky. That is what happend to me I had all the signs of O but no O.
Tras-I feel your pain on the no eating. Jack ate goldfish for dinner last night. He is very picky and almost just loves to say no at anything I try to give him. He is only 22lbs at 20 months. He just likes snack foods and mac an cheese on a good day. He was such a great veg puree eater as a baby now nothing!
molly and spin-glad you had great trips!
Hi to anyone I missed!
Well for me I realized the day I had progesterone test done I was like 1dpo or the day I O. I O'd like CD23 and didn't realize they were thinking I was 7dpo. So stupid me thought about it and made sense my # was low. I continued to temp, and around 8 or 9dpo my temp dropped so I was out, next day it was way up. Implantation dip? I just tested this am at 11 or 12 dpo BFP! I can't believe it i am in shock and my dr will be shocked when I call tomorrow am! BFP is great but here comes all the worries, too!

Allison -- Your hair looks great! I have kept mine short since I chopped it all off (I think I ended up donating something like 12 inches), but now I'm growing it again.
Jac -- Good luck this cycle!! Keep us posted.
Alp -- That would make me very, very upset. I sometimes see the neighborhood boys playing a little rough with Lily (nothing serious like biting -- more just that they treat her like she's a 4 year old boy and not an almost two year old little girl) and I have to bite my tongue and pretend to be calm, so I don't know how I would handle biting. I don't really know what to say, other than I hope that you get new childcare soon!
Nic -- Thanks for the tip. I observed JJ eating, and he seems to use all of his teeth. Interestingly, no, the evaluators didn't do anything to test whether his lack of speaking is actually physical (like a problem with his tongue). I assumed they would do that and, if I enroll him in private therapy, I am sure that will be one of the first tests. I know he CAN talk though, because every once in a while he will say something.... diaper, cracker, car, baby, ball, etc. Mostly, though, he prefers to use nonverbal communication. He's an interesting little boy, that's for sure.
Jaymie -- Like Nic, I had a fast labor, but there were still about 9 hours between when I woke up with contractions to when the twins were born. I arrived at the hospital having regular, severe contractions and I was 8.5cm dilated and they STILL gave me the option to have a c-section (which I declined). So I honestly think you will be fine. Let me know what happens with your insurance situation -- I can't believe that your OB's office manager didn't send out a notice to all of its patients alerting them to the insurance change.
Cycle -- I have been being a terrible eater recently. My problem isn't really poor food choices (other than choosing to have an extra glass of wine), it's more with grazing nonstop between meals, picking at John's snacks, the twins' meals, etc. All of those little calories add up -- I'm definitely annoyed with myself because I worked SO hard this fall to lose the few pounds I had gained over the summer and I'm pretty sure I put them all back on it the past two weeks. One of the biggest issues is that it has been a bad winter so we have been housebound, and I think I have been eating needlessly because we have been trapped inside. Sigh.
Molly -- Good to hear from you. I have actually read a lot on speech development over the past few months, so I'm happy to share anything I have come across.
Nic -- I'm thinking of you this cycle! Keep us posted.
Bebe --- Poor Maddie (and, now, poor Jon)! I hope everyone in your house starts to get better soon... Did you ever get the bacterial versus viral issue cleared up? I think that bacterial infections require antibiotics, but that viral inections don't?? So it may be a distinction worth figuring out.
CPTrainer -- Congrats!!!
Okay, I must go... I want to workout, and I need to do it now or I won't get the chance. We're meeting some friends in the city today for a get together and we're leaving in a few hours. The twins are going to miss their nap, which I'm apprehensive about. But we can't let our lives revolve around their nap schedule 365 days per year.
Hi to everyone I missed!

Nico – How are you? Any sign of AF? My fingers are crossed that she’ll be a no show!
Cycle – I’m sorry to hear that Aiden was sick. That’s great that the twins haven’t shown signs yet. Hopefully that means you’re in the clear. Lillie goes through periods where she won’t eat for several days also. It tends to be when she’s also constipated for 2-3 days. At her 2 yr checkup on Friday the doctor said we need to start limiting her milk intake to no more than 3 cups per day because she thinks that’s the culprit. Lillie loves her milk so we’ll see how that goes. And I hear ya on the bad eating even though it’s January and everyone else is eating healthy! It doesn’t help that Lillie’s birthday was this week, so we’ve had 3 parties with cake (one at DH’s parents, one at daycare, and one at our house yesterday with friends).
Bebe – I’m glad your mom is home and doing ok. I wish her a speedy recovery. How’s your back? And poor Maddie! You guys have really been through the wringer recently!
Jac – I’m glad that you were able to relax over the holidays without stressing about ttc. That’s great that you had a natural cycle! My fingers and toes are crossed.
Cptrainer – Congrats!!! You are totally giving me hope right now!!
Kat – Sorry to hear about JJ’s talking issues. It sounds like he’s just slow at getting started. I also think waiting until 2 is a good idea. A friend of mine’s daughter was in the same situation. Her evaluation showed that she knew a lot more words than she actually said. Just a month or so after the eval she all of a sudden stated talking more and now she talks non-stop!
Spin – I’m sorry about your SIL. I hope that everything works out for her. That recipe you posted looks great, healthy, yummy, easy, and fast! All good things!
Allison – Congrats on AF! It sounds like you’re on track.
Tras – I’m sorry that Ty is not eating much either. As I told Cycle above, Lillie also goes through periods like that, but she’s normally constipated at the same time. Her ped thinks she’s getting too much milk so we’re cutting back to no more than 3 cups per day to see if it helps. I’m also glad that school went well for Ty! Lillie started a new daycare this week too. So far, so good. She doesn’t want to come home when we pick her up!
Brenda – Congrats on a boy!! That’s so exciting!
Stef – Congrats on your upcoming marriage!! You look beautiful!
Alp – I’m sorry that C got such a bad bite at daycare. The kids at Lillie’s old daycare ent through a big biting phase several months ago and she got some doozys. Luckily she couldn’t remember them though. Hopefully you can find a new place that will give you and C more peace of mind.
Jaymie – That really sucks about your insurance! I hope everything works out quickly.
Kathleen – I’m sorry that your family has been sick recently. I hope everyone feels better soon. Have you been evaluated by an RE recently? Some of your symptoms , such as the hair falling out, are consistent with PCOS. It’s possible to be borderline HA and PCOS.
Sorry to not have posted all week. Lillie started a new daycare this week AND she turned 2 on Thursday! I can’t believe 2 years have gone by so quickly! My RE appointment on Monday went well. I met with the same RE I had last time so it was really awesome to be able to thank him for his help with Lillie in person. It was weird to be in the clinic again. They moved to a new building but it had the same feel. Unfortunately, he wants me to repeat the MRI and HSG, which is frustrating. However, my b/w showed that I had ovulated sometime within the last week or so, so now I’m in a 2ww! If I don’t get AF by Jan. 18 they want me to come in for a pg test. Unfortunately, I feel like I’m probably going to get AF within the next day or so. I’ve been irrationally emotional and pissy the last couple of days and today I can’t stop eating. Anyway, whenever I get AF I’ll do the HSG and MRI and then we’ll start on Clomid. One high point was that my ultrasound showed that my uterine lining was nice and thick. Since my linings were always thin last time he said the extra thickness is probably due to the extra weight that I’ve maintained since last time. He made sure to commend me several times for keeping my weight up so that was nice to hear that it wasn’t totally for nothing. I hope you all have a great week!

L&J - Sounds like you are definitely on the right track! I had thin lining issues when I was TTC Avery too, so good for you. I hope you get your BFP this cycle!
Bebe - I am so sorry Maddie has been so sick, the poor thing! I know a lot of people who have been struck down with the stomach flu over the past few weeks. It's so worrisome with the little ones though, because they stop eating and drinking and shrink away to nothing. Do you think there is any chance you could have gotten pregnant this cycle?
Kat - Avery is very vocal and actually uses more verbal than non-verbal communication, but so much of what she says is still gibberish or unintelligible. Yet the daycare is not at all worried...DH is though. Do you think we should get her assessed?
Jaymie - That is terrible about your dr no longer accepting your insurance, I would think that they would send their patients a letter about something like that! One thing I love about Canada is our universal health care system. Not that it doesn't have some imperfections, but you don't ever have to pay for something like prenatal care.
Nico - The truffles are good...but I ate most of them last night...yikes, they were meant for the kids. I am thinking about making smoothies for the girls with spinach in them because they eat so little green veggies (particularly Avery). I'm guessing if I make them with blueberries they won't see or taste the "green".

Hi everyone!
I just scanned the most recent posts but not totally caught up - wanted to post before Ty wakes up! He has been sleeping about 3 hours in the afternoon (I wait till 1:30 to put him down) which is very nice! He is definitely tired before that though - driving in the car pretty much anywhere can lead to him falling asleep during the time before nap! It was a mission to keep him up on the way home from the Farmer's Market today!
Kat - thats wonderful news!! I am sure that JJ will be speaking in full sentences before you know it! I have learned the importance of making Ty ask for what he wants rather than giving him what I think (or know) he wants to force him to vocalize rather than whine for it. My big issue when I went for an evaluation was that I didn't feel Ty was able to understand what I was saying - there was kind of a disconnect in a lot of ways. He has really improved in leaps and bounds and I no longer feel that way. JJ obviously doesn't have that problem!
Bebe - the speech therapist does a lot of the same things week after week - Ty is terrible at focusing on shape sorters so she works on that and then takes out bubbles and books and just works on different words and plays with him using certain words and repeating them. Seeing how she speaks to him helps me a lot in knowing how to work on things with him. How is Maddie doing today? I am so sorry she was so sick!
More to write later - he's up!!

Molly - so glad the trip went well. I can't even imagining travelling with two toddlers!!
Jaymie - that is crazy!! Do you have any other doctors in mind just in case? I hope it gets resolved soon! At our hospital whoever is on-call delivers you so you have a 1 in 10 chance of getting your actual OB. Both times I had a different OB deliver and it's definitely not ideal becasue they don't know me or my history or anxieties. I hope this gets cleared up!
Nico - I have lost weight but not dramatically so and it's also just losing weight from having Madison. I am now at 137 (though the stupid scale said 140 today and although I haven't eaten great this past week, I didn't do enough damage to gain 3 pounds!) which I don't think is too low? I've been having lots of CM so I hope you are right in them coming back! Maddie can sit up, but she is so top heavy that she knocks herself over. Definitely not steady yet! As for the sleeping, it wasn't always like this. Right now she just won't sleep long because of her teeth and being sick. Sometimes she will sleep for an hour but then she wakes up coughing and crying. I thought she was getting better but then today she started hacking all over again. Same with Riley she's been sick since last weekend and I thought it was clearing up and she woke up today with bright boogers (sorry gross I know) so she is getting something new. Same with me, I thought I was getting better and today I woke up feeling like I had been hit by a ton of bricks so I can only imagine how they feel! I am excited by the fact that you haven't had AF yet! I hope it doesn't come for you, and that I get it instead
Bebe- the new house is great and we are all settled in. It's just little things now like finding art for the walls and little things like that. Glad Maddie is getting better. Good thing you took her in. Was it bacterial then?
CP- COngrats !! That is fantastic news!
L&J - Thanks for the tip. I thought you only got excess hair with PCOS. Next time I go to the docs I'm going to ask to have my testosterone levels checked. Other wise I did get things checked after having Maddie in July and everything looked really good - my e3 was super high even (in the 300!) when in the past it was in the 30's.
Tras - you are so lucky he sleeps that much! Riley has started not napping at all! I'll put her in the crib and she just cries the whole time. Today she pooped while she was in there (normally she'll tell me by saying "Riley poo-poo" over and over until I come change her). Today she didn't say anything and finally fell asleep and when I went in to get her, her pants were off and her diaper had been pulled at. She said she was trying to change herself! I hear you on the food thing. I can get so frustrated. With Riley I told her she can pick her lunch and breakfast but I get to pick her dinner. Then at dinner I will give her what we are eating and then I'll say remember riley, I am not fighting with you about this. Eat this or go to the naughty step. and normally that works (thankfully!) or else if I say to her OK riley 5 more bites then she will do it. It's almost like she needs to know how much she REALLY needs to eat and then she just does it.

Jaymie: that situation at your OB's office is totally ridiculous! Good luck with it. While I didn't have to change practices or anything, the doctor that did the delivery was someone I'd never met before (another doc in the practice, who was on call). That made me nervous, but it ended up really well. What's your due date, by the way. My sister's is Feb 5 (though it's a slightly fuzzy date-- could be a week off). But her baby suddenly just turned breech, which she's not thrilled about!
CPTrainer: how nice to "see" you. Congrats!
Kathleen: travelling with two toddlers went more smoothly than I had imagined. It was a long drive (about 10-11 hours down, although on the way back up we made really good time and got home quickly). When we were down there we were staying in a condo type place (hotel timeshare) which had a kitchen, living room, etc. (though my sister was on the sofa in the living room), so that made it easier too, I think. I won't say it was relaxing, but it did make me feel better about the idea of more travel.

nic - dying over here! did you test???
cp - thats such great news!! congrats!! are you getting a beta??
kat - how was your meet up with your friends?? did l&j do okay with no nap?? its hard to give up their nap schedule, but some days you just have to go with the flow!! so, i called the hospital back and the receptionist tried to tell me viral and bacterial were the same thing. after arguing for a while, she finally put the doc on the phone and he said the doc had made a mistake on the discharge papers and it was in fact viral. so that solves that! she actually has seemed much better the past few days, so im hoping we are in the clear!!
l&j - wahoo! thats such great news that you ovulated. fingers crossed that this one stuck...and if not, that clomid will work for you!
tras - yeah for good naps! ty is such a good little sleeper. mine are usually down for about 2 hrs on the nose. once in a while they will go for 2.5 hrs and its a dream
kathleen - its nice you can reason with Riley about eating. mine dont really understand 'you must take 5 bites or else' yet. im wondering if i should start trying time outs etc? how old was riley when you started that with her??
spin - are you still on break? are you taking 2 classes this semester??
we woke up to no heat this am! its 17 degrees out and im bundled in a jacket and hat right now waiting for the oil guy to call us back!! good start to the week!
