nico- so sorry about the bfn!! that just sux! but youre doing everything right! it will happen!

allison- bella is so into the abc's lately! she has got most letters down! And she knows the whole entire song of 'Jesus Loves Me!' all by herself! its the most adorable thing ever! accept that it keeps her up b4 nap and bed because she is so obsessed with perfecting them she will literally sing in her crib for almost an hour sometimes b4 bed! by the way your pics on fbook are so cute!!

klc- im bummer for you for #3!! is there someone you could babysit for to get your baby fix?? then youre not tied down to the whole life change but you still get to see a baby on a regular basis!

alp- yay for a good heartbeat!! you should post a pic soon!! i should too...

carol- sorry about the teething! i think bella has been teething with no results for at least a month too! must be those 2 year molars!

kathleen- the kitchen is THE best part!! i wish ours was a bit more open! good luck proceeding with everything there!

cycle- we dont do probiotics, but suspect i should because bellas diet is so inadequate! she does eat lots of yogurt tho!

so bella is turning 2 tomorrow!! im so excited! i made her cake today! we went kind of nuts with all her presents! dh just kept saying we have no limit, no price limit, haha he loves her so much! im most excited for the bike we got her! i hope she'll be able to ride it soon, at least in our basement this winter she could practice! its just going to be both sets of grandparents over for cake and ice cream! hopefully it goes well, theyre very different from each other...

nico - sorry about the bfn. hoping next cycle is it for you (even if it is a boy month)!! Hows the house coming along??

jaymie - yeah! happy birthday bella!! have a great time. what kind of cake did you make?? dont you find out the sex any day now??

spin - saw that you tried an ashtanga class recently and liked it. thats the type i usually do, although i havent done it so much recently. I really enjoy it, i am so inflexible, it helps!! oh, and was it you that was taking unisom during your last pg? i have been having some issues sleeping recently and wanted to take something that was okay to take when pg.

kathleen - thats so exciting about the new house! when are you going to put yours on the market??

kat - how did tina take the news??? thinking of you!!

cycle - interesting about hte probiotics...i hadnt thought to give any to m&c. they do eat quite a bit of yogurt though. what form would you give it to them (i dont think pill would work for m&c!!) we had our first week of mothers morning out. they seemed to do well. conor was crynig both days i picked him up though which totally broke my heart. the teacher said when he woudl get upset, maddie would come over and sit next to him!! anyway, i was going to do three days/wk, but im thinking might just do two. oh, and yeah for aidens good report!! would you think about keeping him back one more year??

allison - thanks for the potty rec. that is so so sweet about m washing her hands and singing the song!! when m wants to go potty, its usually a three man job...i hold maddie on the toilet (while she wipes) and conor runs behind to watch and flush (well, he tries to flush over and over!!)

well, jons gone to california this weekend so im flying solo!! so not fun! i found a place that does an u/s and tells you the gender at 17 weeks, my friend recommended it. i set up an appt for a week from this monday fun fun!!

bebe- How exciting! It won't be long now! Any feelings on b or g? I guess either would be equally as exciting since you already have one of each. Yeah, we're definitely retaining Aiden for kinder next year. He's academically advanced in some areas but his emotional maturity is definitely that of other 5 yr olds. All the kids in his class are turning 6 in the next months and he just turned 5 so there's a big difference. He's on a soccer team with 5 yr olds and it's interesting to see how physically normal he appears with them...when he's in his classroom he's by far the smallest and shortest! I hope MDO goes better for Conor this week! The twins go 2 mornings and it's just perfect for them and me. Oh, and I'm flying solo this weekend too- Brent is taking Aiden to his first Aggie game.

brenda- I remember you! congratulations!! What a nice surprise!

klc- Ugh, Mazey climbed out of her pac n play during nap yesterday...I thought of you b/c of the unforgettable big girl bed transition! I think I may try switching Hunter to the pac n play and Mazey to the crib. They nap separately b/c one always wakes before the other. No problems with the cribs yet...I fully plan on purchasing crib tents if it becomes a problem! Mine are definitely not ready to be loose.

jaymie- Happy Birthday bella! I can't believe she's 2 already! I hope it's a great day for all.

kathleen- It sounds like you've made a sound decision. The last thing you want is to be house poor. We have a fairly comfortable mortgage and I'm so grateful for that b/c the twins have been way more expensive than we ever estimated. And don't get me started on our grocery bill....

spin- Loving the recent blog entries! I'm going to focus on getting more sleep....

alp- good to hear from you!

So like I said to klc, Mazey scared the crap out of me yesterday as she appeared in the kitchen when she was supposed to be napping upstairs. She's really become quite the skilled climber- out of the pac and play yesterday and also climbs over the baby gate in the toy room. She loves to torment Hunter as she tears up the house while I'm in the shower and all he can do is watch from behind bars. There's no chance that big boy can hoist his massiveness over anytime soon!

cycle - Gracie first climbed out of the pack and play long before I made the transition. She did it a few times, then I started napping them together (because at that point, it was no longer necessary to nap them separately). She could not climb out of the crib (or was not that brave yet). I eventually moved them to beds once she was climbing out of the crib with ease. That was at 26 months. It was a HARD transition. And, even still I need to sit in there at naptime for a bit to make sure that they nap and not just play. Crib tents was an option I considered but, the price was insane to me for something I'd only use for months. So, I sacrificed my sanity instead

brenda, congrats on the bfp!!! Were you thinking of two, or only planning on one? regardless, I can tell you that having two is really fabulous What's your due date?

jaymie, I had forgotten that Timmy and bella share a birthday! Hope you guys have a fun day :-) How did she like her presents? Timmy's favorite was a plush stuffed football! We're having family and a few close friends over for cake and a bbq tonight. What kind of bike did you get her, a balance bike or a tricycle?

bebe, house is coming along, but really slowly. Everyone seems to take twice as long as they first tell us they will. We're probably looking at a Jan move date at this point.

cycle, I remember the first time that happened to us with ant, it can give you quite a fright! We didn't transition him to a bbb until about six months after he climed out for the first time, he didn't do it very frequently even though he could.

katie, I think jaymie had a good idea, what about taking on some babysitting? You had also mentioned at one point (I think on the vets board) that your DH is really worried about your kids being 'too' smart - I'm pretty "smart" too, and haven't found it to cause me any problems, in fact quite the opposite I feel like a lot of doors have been open for me that might not have otherwise. I guess he and I have a very different perspective on it

Kathleen, I'm so glad you found something else you like that you're more comfortable with financially. Pics???

alp, congrats on almost 12 weeks It's reassuring to hear that hb again, isn't it? Are you starting to show yet?

spin, thanks :-) I think DH is a little sad, but we're not overly worried yet...

carol, do you feel any of the points of the molars yet?

AF showed up yesterday, so I'm definitely out. It's still very light though, I really hope that I'm not having lining issues!

    Brenda - Congrats!!

Bebe - I can't wait to hear all about the u/s! I didn't actually take anything specifically to help me sleep when I was preggo, but I was taking something for nausea, and it actually did help me sleep.

Cycle - I truly believe that sleep is one of the most important determinents of health. I read one study that found that women who exercise are significantly less likely to develop certain types of cancers, but only if they get enough sleep. So in other words, lack of sleep basically cancels out some of the health benefits of exercise! Avery is also a climber and it is really stressful. She's totally into and onto everything! Already she had a big fall at daycare on the playground this week and cut up her eyelid and lip and scratched her cheek. Thank goodness they heal quickly.

Jaymie - Happy birthday to Bella! Can't wait to hear about the party.

cycle-no we do not take probiotics. but, she does eats lots of yogurt so she probably gets some. it was quick but not too. it took so long for af to return (almost 4 months) and then had very long cycles. i think i ovulated on day 31 or so. you're right though, did not feel quick going through it! wow, how scary about mazey climbing out of everything. our ped just mentioned that at our 18 month well visit how we need to think about transitioning her to a toddler bed around 2 b/c some kids start climbing out of the crib. right now, i cannot even imagine her being in a toddler bed and staying in it!

alp-yay for a good appt! i used to dread waiting for them to find the h/b. it was scary! i go in wed for bloodwork and to meet w/the np. then, i will see the dr a few weeks after that. are you feeling better?

bebe-my sister went to one of those and found out early too. when does your doctor check? my does the ultrasound between 18-22 weeks.

kathleen-thanks! yes, i'm kinda relieved b/c it is gross but i just want to do everything i can to make sure everything is ok.

nico-sorry about the bfn. is there anything that can be done for lining issues?

i think olivia is cutting teeth too now. would it be the 2 years molars? she was up at 5:15 yesterday. had her hands shoved in her mouth all day. only napped 1/2 hour, and up 3x last night. i finally went in and gave her motrin. i'm tired!

I have wanted to post for days and feel like there was so much I wanted to say and now can't remember!

Kat - everything okay? I feel like its been so long since you have posted - hope things are all right with you and the family! Are you still going to Miami for your work conference?

Jaymie - happy birthday to Bella!

Cycle - I can't even imagine your face when you turned and saw her in the kitchen! Hope the weekend alone with the kids went okay!

Klc - I'm sorry - do you think when the girls are a little older he would change his mind? What is going on with maybe moving?

Alp - great news about the strong hearbeat!

Carol - I would do anything to get to a 7/7:30 wake-up! One Sunday several weeks ago he slept till 7:30. It was amazing!! He has been waking up at 6 or earlier every day - no matter how tired he is! Sometimes maybe 6:15-6:30 but mostly earlier. UGGG!

Bebe - how did the weekend go? So excited for you to find out the sex!

Aya - how are you doing? What did you decide about caffeine? I BFed till Ty was 1 and could not have survived without it! He was and still is up so early!

Nico - hope the bday party goes well! Sounds so nice! Happy bday Timmy!

    Brenda - congrats!!

Kathleen - definitely sounds like you guys are making the right decision for your family with the house!

Spin - I agree with the whole sleep thing. I get like 8 hours a night but I still wake up so tired b/c I am always woken up out of a deep sleep by Ty. I can still visualize my dreams when he wakes me up and so I stay tired. There is such a huge difference when I am able to wake up on my own! I was reading my mom the post about the "doctor's recommendations" that your uncle sent you - so funny! Hope you all had an easy fast - I can't do it - I just haven't ever been able to!

So, we went down to Miami this weekend for Yom Kippur and it was so nice! My mom had a little birthday dinner for me and they got me a gift card to Lululemon which is like my favorite store so I am VERY excited about that (I hinted that would be the BEST birthday gift!). My mom made me pavlova which is my absolute favorite dessert ever - I ate till I was nauseous but so good! We took Ty to the children's service at our synagogue. It was so surreal - it was where I went to elementary school and there were friends of mine there from elementary with their little kids! There was this little girl who was 2 running around after Ty trying to hold his hand and just play with him and he wanted no part of it. It was really hysterical! This morning we had a little playdate with my best friend from growing up and her son (our families are best friends) and it was so cute. Then when we left Miami, we had another playdate with a friend of DH's from work whose baby is 3 weeks older than Ty. Needless to say he is exhausted! My parents have a huge backyard and Ty had so much fun running around with our dog. I just can't wait to move!! I am going to be taking a lot more trips home - its definitely a pain to drive but he just LOVED it! Here we have no yard and it makes such a huge difference having a place outside for him to run around.
