OK-I'm really behind but wanted to take a min to respond to Cubby and will write more later.
Cubby-I only had modified bed rest starting at 33 weeks -- I went to 36.5 weeks. At that pt my cervix was getting very effaced and so they told me to lie down. I could get up to go the bathroom, take a shower, get some food from the kitchen-but that's it-otherwise horizontal on the couch. I went from my bed (where I spent half the day) to the couch where I spent a lot of the day. I read book and watched a lot of movies to pass the time. It was hard for me too-I'm total type A. But it goes faster than you think it will. You should talk to Molly-she was on strict bed rest for many weeks.

I would love to do a girl's weekend. The end of August is out for me, as I have my BIL's wedding. Maybe we should do something in late September? NY is beautiful then and people may have less family vacations planned.

cubby- so sorry youre faced with this but i remember hearing from others on the board on bedrest and it seems the best thing you could do is listen to the advice of your OB and just think about how much healthier you are allowing your baby to grow because you are resting! Good luck!
tras- it sounds like the perfect opportunity to take ty on a plane! you wont have to worry about other people or staying in your seat, small bathrooms, etc! awesome!!
bebe- yay for af!! great news! and good luck with the clomid this time!
jamie- good luck with the MRI! i dont do videos so i dont have much advice for you, ive only done the Shred! will u be able to do low impact?? do u have access to a bike?
spin-= sorry the potty regression but at least theres nothing seriously wrong! i would just keep praising her and use her as an example to her little sister about using the potty!
kat- the play house sounds amazing! there was an older one in the house we just moved into! it has 2 swings and hang bars, a slide, play hut type thing, rope, climbing thing and sand box! the sand box is definitely bellas favorite!! it is such a worthy investment, L and JJ will love it!! they'll be climbing up that slide before you know it! Bella isnt even a climber and she learned in days!
kinda weird but i never had trouble with the site, maybe i just never tried to get on when it was down! weve been so busy over here i havent even been home much!! our air conditioning went out this week and weve been in a wrestling match with the home warranty company to get us a new one! It sounded like such a grand thing when we purchased the house but you practically have to pry the money out of their lifeless hands!

I would love to join you guys in NYC - meeting there was my idea! But realistically, won't happen for me because of the cost

Tras - The private plane sounds so exciting!! I am the same way with exercise, however, if we travel and do a lot of walking then I am usually able to skip the gym. That's why I love going to places like NYC, I just walk everywhere and then don't feel like I have to find a gym. I try to be a healthy eater but I am far from perfect. I consume way too much sodium, for example...
So I got a urine sample from Alana this morning and dropped it off at her peds, they said they'd call if there was a problem.

cubby- are you having contrax? hopefully at next check your cervix will not have changed or perhaps will have lengthened! i was not on strict bedrest, but stayed off my feet from 26 weeks until I delivered at 39 weeks (my early contrax, cervical issues are related to an issue with a uterine, well, i guess deformity is the best word for it!) anyway, i was able to work.. so that kept me pretty busy! march of dimes website has some good resources. i did a ridiculous amount of online baby shopping - signed up for some of those deal a day baby emails and seriously was ordering stuff every day... read lots of books. i wish i had reached out to my friends more.. i think i really did get pretty blue and lonely during the time. anyway, will keep my fingers crossed for you next week. let us know how it goes!
re: NY gtg. this summer is pretty booked for us, so i don't think i could swing it. but think an annual one sounds like a plan and would definitely try next year.

Cubby: as others mentioned, I was on pretty strict bedrest for a little over 6 weeks. At 28-29 weeks I started having lots of painless Braxton Hicks contractions. I went into the hospital to be checked out once they started picking up (more than 5 an hour) and we discovered that my cervix has shortened considerably since my last ultrasound. I was put on meds to keep the contractions under control and from then out had to lie down on my side all day every day. I was allowed to go to the bathroom and move from bedroom to living room basically in morning and evening, but they even had me eating lying down! (Apparently sitting up doesn't really help all that much because when you're sitting there's actually a great deal of pressure on your cervix). And of course I got up when I went to doctor's appointments. There's no way of knowing what would have happened had the bedrest been more relaxed. But I was able to last until 35 weeks, when my water suddenly broke. It was hard being on bedrest, but definitely worth it, from my point of view. My job involves reading lots and lots of research articles, which I always have a backlog of, so I spent some hours every day just reading and reading that stuff, to keep my mind from going to mush. And then I also watched some netflix, read some novels, etc. You will have no time for any relaxation once the babies come, so enjoy it while you can! (But yes, it is still maddening!) Good luck!!
And hi to everyone else! I was one of the people who couldn't access the site for a few days and then in the meantime got buried with work and everything else. Plus, we're looking for a new nanny. Ugh! I'll try to catch up later. I miss you guys! A NYC meetup sounds great, but realistically it would be impossible for me to make it out to the East Coast any time soon

Looks like Avery just came down with the stomach flu Alana had earlier this week. Such bad timing as my grandmother (who is 91) and my uncle are visiting from NYC and have been looking forward to seeing her for months. I'm praying she gets it out of her system before the weekend is over. Unfortunately, we can't have her around my grandmother unless she gets better (my grandmother is pretty frail). Isn't this always how things work when you have kids...

Happy Memorial Day everyone!! Any fun plans??
Spin - i saw on fb that you got the stomach flu that the girls had - i am so sorry! How awful! How are you feeling? Did you get to see your grandmother at all??
Tras - thinking of you! Hope the weekend in Toledo is going okay
Kat - how was your anniversary dinner?
We are having a little bbq at our house today. I think my brother and his crazy wife are going to come down! Jon spent the whole day yesterday cleaning up our pool area, landscaping etc, it looks great now! I got him a grill for his bday last week, hopefully we will put it to use today. Hope everyone has a great day
