writer - wow! sounds like you had a great response to clomid. just out of curiosity, why wait until sunday to trigger (with your follies being as big as they are)??

klc - my mil has a honda oddessy - shes had it for years and loves loves it. it is very easy to drive and fits a ton. when do you think you would buy something new?? i definitely need a new car, i have a passat that barely fits the two carseats in it!

spin - that museli recipe sounds great. i love it mixed in with yogurt and will have to give it a try. so, do you follow any recipe books, or mostly just wing it??

molly - we got two relatively large smash cakes (i had zero clue what size they were going to be when i ordered them). conor barely touched his and maddie sort of squished hers but didnt really eat it. i just let them have at it, and figure one day of sugar wasnt going to kill em!

tras - im so like you with the alcohol - i can have like a glass or two and thats about it! when i was younger, i would be so excited for the weekends so that i could get drunk (many many vodka sodas), i cant even imagine that now! how times ahve changed!!!

kat - i was so hoping my little gym was closed this weekend too - i called, no luck i feel super exhausted today and dont feel like contending tomorrow am with them. i forget, did you guys push off your fla trip or totally cancel it??

alp - have fun in nashville!! hopefully the ride down isnt too bad. as for the clomid goes, im on bcp pills for another week or so and then i start in. hopefully i get some response!!

nic - have you been temping? any signs of o yet (what cd are you right now)??

    ah, baby crying, gtg!!

Bebe - I almost never use recipes. I started baking when I was 5 years old and cooking when I was 14, so I just kind of wing it now. I used to really want to open my own cafe and I ran a healthy baking business when I was doing my PhD, but ultimately it's really hard to make it in the food industry and I'm not much of a risk taker. I still fantasize about having my own cafe but I doubt it will ever happen.

I am like you and Tras, I can't really handle more than the occasional glass of wine or two. On Christmas day when we went out for a family lunch, DH was driving so after I had my 2 glasses of wine, he encouraged me to finish the half litre I ordered because he couldn't have any and he said, "Why have it go to waste." It was such a mistake, I was so so drunk and in front of my children. When we got home I had to lie down. I was so mad at him for doing that and mad at myself for listening. Of course he thought it was funny!

Writer - Sounds promising to me. So exciting! I hope you had a nice day for Isaac's birthday

Kat - For sure! I don't feel one bit gulity for not buying American. I'm for sure getting a minivan. I am really most looking forward to automatic sliding doors! We did not get out today, DH could not get out to meet me. He has been doing extensive paperwork, etc.. for this business of doing law in Boston and ?? (oops, forgot the other states!). He needs tons of stuff, like every lawsuit he has ever been named in (and there are quite a few b/c a lot of loony people file suits and for a long time, his name appeared on all of the summonses and complaints in landlord/tenant cases), his driving record, every place he's ever worked, references from every place he's ever lived, A LOT of "busy" work this week while getting very little actual work done. He's not been a happy camper this week as they've also been entertaining attys from the Boston firm that are in town this week and doing lectures, etc... He's used to pretty laid back work!

I definitely like the odyssey, it appears to be the priciest though so we'll see. I definitely want the automatic sliding doors but, don't feel the need for dvd players or any other "bells and whistles". We are planning on putting $2000 down.

I feel like a lush because I often feel like "what's the point" of having one or 2 beers. I tend to not even drink unless I know I can have many I'm an O'Leary though so I think my tolerance is pretty high. I don't like wine or hard liquor, just beer.

That would be so much fun if we could all get together! I might even be tempted to have more than 2 drinks too. Maybe some day...

i would definitely have to have more than my max of two drinks if we ever did meet. how fun would that be?!

kat - good for you!! i am in desperate need of some new clothes! i have put on a few lbs recently too (ugh!) and all i can think about when i put something on is how it is tight and uncomfortable and doesnt fit right glad work has slowed a bit. take advantage of the coffee in bed! i cant sleep in even when i try, my body is not programmed to sleep later than 6 or 630. even in florida i was getting up at six (??!!) i am a morning person for sure

cycle - my friend has a little red and white mini and loves it! its not too practical for kids, but would be fun to zip around in.

well, jon and i closed on our first commercial property today! we both work in commercial real estate and have been wanting to buy something of our own for a while. im super excited, mostly because i feel like its the first thing that reallly roots us in the philly area (at least for a while!)

Need some advice! I am supossed to wait until Sunday night to do the trigger shot even though my follies are big enough tonight. That is to give my lining a chance to get a little better. Of course, I am obsessively worrying that my eggs will get too mature. Do you think I should just trigger tomorrow night? Thanks for any advice!

writer, people tend to trigger later with clomid than injectibles, I don't think that triggering Sunday night is unreasonable (you may even surge on your own before then, are you using OPKs at all?). If your follicles were 18 and 19 today, and they grow at 2mm/day, on Sunday they would be 22 and 23, I've often seen people triggering on Clomid at 24mm, so I think that would be fine. It is good to give your lining a little more time. NO worries!!

from fertilityplus.org: Q: At what size are follicles considered mature?

A: Many doctors monitor follicle development during IUI cycles. Most trigger when the dominant follicle is within a certain size range. While there is always some difference in doctor preference, the norms are unmedicated 20-24mm, clomiphene citrate 20-24mm, FSH-only meds 17 or 18mm minimum, and FSH+LH would be 16 or 17mm minimum.

Writer - I know when I was on injectables I triggered when my biggest follie was 18. But, I've heard that for whatever reason, those doing clomid wait until the biggest is a bit bigger than that. I say just listen to the Dr.

kat - its retail on the first floor with an apartment on the second. its exciting and nerve wracking at the same time! enjoy your coffee and paper! there is nothing better than a leisurly weekend breakfast, coffee and paper read (at least, in my opinion!) i picked up The Help at the end of my vacation and am almost through with it. i think you said you read it, right?? its a quick read and i am enjoying it.

writer - good luck with triggering! sounds like you are fine to do so on sunday. what do you think about the prospect of having twins??
