    Thanks, Aya

Jamie - Yeah, I meant to comment on that too. All peds are different. Our ped said that nap and bed time is fine. They only use it to help them fall asleep. By the time that I go to bed and check on them, they are no longer sucking. It is next to them or still haning there by their mouth but, the sucking has stopped. I will certainly do it sooner rather than later but, at this point things are good so I don't want to mess with it just yet!

So much for great napping. It is after 2 pm. They went in at 1 and talking and jumping has turned into full on, over tired SCREAMING! School should be fun. I bet that they'll be all kinds of well behaved!

klc- sorry hun! you just sound like youre having a tough time! I wish i could give you a big hug and tell you how hot you are in person! I am a volume eater and just basically luv to have food, mostly crunchy things in my mouth all the time! so i am a night time snacker too but try to work it into my intake for the day so im not going overboard! if i know were gonna be home for the night and i want to snack i use 1/3c oats for my oatmeal instead my normal 1/2c so i know i have breathing room for a snack later! and then instead of using a big spoon to spoon my pb on my oatmeal i use a smaller spoon so i use less each time i dip into the jar! therefore giving more room for snacking late on too! would small tricks like that help you? i dont know! i also dont think you should say 10+ lbs either! i remember last time u thought u had gained a ton or weight you found out it wasnt nearly as bad as you thought, right! sorry about the girls! Do you think its because they share a room?

so guys i just found out i am singing at this funeral for the little girl tomorrow! I am kind of the resident singer at our church just because i stay at home and am readily available for short notice things like funerals! man is it going to be hard! I feel bad because i will seriously have to disconnect myself from the situation in order to get through the song ya kno? wow! they still dont have the autopsy results yet so im not sure the actual cause...

    jamie- happy, happy birthday!!!!

klc- i can totally to relate to everything you wrote. how i have lost wt at times when it wasn't on my mind, but other times i just obsess and though i want to lose, i gain (what has been happening of late) i liked bebe's term - but now can't remember.. head noise of food.. i think when it is so much on our mind, fear of gaining, what to eat when, being healthy, restricting, not restricting, it just seems leads to overeating, stress, and gaining. i think i am definitely an emotional eater and an evening snack/treat is sooo a stress reliever to me. i think having somewhat of a nonchalant attitude about food is the answer. i just don't know how to get there...

amy- glad your night w/o dh went ok. mine is gone for a long weekend in a couple weeks... it will be tough!

KLC - I can totally relate. So it sounds as if this is all in your head and not a physiological reaction to undereating or restricting your food choices. I bet therapy would be very helpful. As my therapist once said to me when I was going through similar stuff, "No control is total control". In other words, if you trust yourself and stop thinking and worrying about your food intake, you'll end up eating more intuitively. Of course, this is not easy to do, but it's something to work towards...

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone! DH is on Spring break this week so he surprised me and brought A and E in to see me. It was the perfect timing because I had just finished working with a couple patients and had about an hour break before the next one.

Well, we made an attempt to ditch the paci's today and it was AWFUL. Ella just screams and screams and almost tries to hurt herself. She makes herself gag and spit up. Aiden isn't quite as bad but definitely screams. I couldn't take it anymore and decided we'll wait until they get their canines in. I think both of they are starting to push for both of them, although I don't see anything, because they have been drooling, crabby, and chewing on their fingers more. I was dumb for listening to the pediatrician and trying to do it today when I suspect teething. My mom, who is a large day care center director, thought it was kind of crazy that the pediatrician recommended it since they only have them at nap/bedtimes.

klc- I think it's a great idea to talk to someone to work though the food noise in your head (I like that term, thanks Bebe). It's funny how we're our own worst critic because I definitely did not think you looked short or frumpy. I remember thinking to myself, I wish my arms and thighs looked slim like yours!

Bebe - I just started putting Avery in plain cotton sleepers without feet, plus a sleep sack over top...but we tend to keep our house pretty cold. My mom buys the girls great cotton pjs from Hatley's but I don't know if you have it in the U.S.

bebe- all winter sarah has worn the footless cotton pjs. we have some from old navy - the two piece ones (though one pair already has a hold in seem) and some from baby gap, the one piece zip ups...

i'm wondering about summer though. we had our windows open for a couple days because it was so hot out and it was still quite warm at night on 2nd floor and the 2 piece long pjs were too much. but pollen is so bad, we have the AC on now, so back to being cool inside. i was looking at some cute two piece shorts pjs from hanna andersson last night. and right now they are 20% off. they are really cute. i might have to get a couple for warm nights!

Jamie-forgot to say happy bday-how fun that DH brought the kids in. I want mine to come in for lunch sometime.

On food obsession, weight gain ... KLC/Carol I'm in a difficult spot too. I obsess a lot lately yet am still gaining weight. I'm actually probably at a good weight for myself. I'd say I'm somewhere around 105. I had gotten to 101, and I was 90 when I had HA. I've definitely had normal cycles at my current weight. But the point is that I feel I am in weight gain and eating mode. Especially at night-emotional night snacking of candy and ice cream. Plus I do have a glass of wine or sake every night now.

Uggg am I tired. I also eat more when tired I've noticed. but at least I survived night #2 without DH. His parents are coming up tonight to "help." Except it's not really a huge help-more like having to entertain. They prefer to stay in a hotel-but they will stay with me and the babies through their bedtime and our dinner. And lately I've been going to bed soooo early and having to do all these chores after the babies go to sleep that I hope I am still able to get all the stuff done for an early bedtime.

I am so tired that I don't even know if I'm making any sense in this post. Clearly it's time for some coffee.
