Hi Ladies! Happy Mother's Day!
I see a lot of posts about AF. Coincidentally, I just started AF today. (Started Clomid, 50 mg on 5/1. A little disappointing but a good thing I suppose because I had one in general. I don't still know all the lingo but I am about 5-6 DPO....I think I actually don't know if i O'd. But according to blood work on Monday, I was surging on Monday. Is it usual for it to start this early past O?

ELM - my first O with Clomid I had a 5 day LP, so yes, it is "normal" for an HAer to have that on the first Clomid cycle!
Me: 30, DH: 31, recovered from eating disorder and got to a healthy weight in 2008 but obsessive exercise kept AF MIA for years. TTC since 05/11, Clomid/Femara - mixed response all BFN, Femara+ Injects x 2 (one TI, one IUI) - BFN, Injects rd 3+IUI - BFN. Injects rd 4: Menopur starting 11/29 - IUI 12/12, BFP 12/22!!! It's TWINS!!!! EDD 9/4/13

Hi all - I hope everyone had a nice Mother's day, whether you are already a Mom, or going to be a Mom someday soon

Lovin' - LOVED your post, it was so sweet!
Middletara - Maybe the spotting is due to a drop in estrogen levels - in which case I guess that means it's working cause that's what it's supposed to do right?
FitinNC - So glad to hear that line is getting darker! Can't wait to hear tomorrow's results.
Elm - By surging on Monday, you mean that they tested your LH and it was high? The LH surge happens 36-48 hours before ovulation, so that would mean that you O'd on Tuesday or Wednesday. So potentially only a 4 or 5 day luteal phase. If this is the case there are ways of lengthening it (like taking progesterone). Also I think other haven taken Clomid and have gotten AF way sooner than expected, then had a better response the next time. So you may just need to give it another go! I would definitely check with your doctor though.
AFM - Not much going on here. My body keeping acting like its going to do something (wet and a bit of EWCM the past two days, tender breasts, achiness in the ovary region) but OPK's are negative. I guess I'll just have to keep testing!34 y/o. History of weight loss (60 pounds) after going off Paxil, lowest BMI 20.5, current BMI~24. No AF and no response to Provera. Femara 5 mg 7/12 - no response. Menopur injections 9/12, cycle canceled due to DH's illness; Menopur cycle #2 11/12 - overstim! Menopur cycle #3 12/12: one big follie+trigger, IUI on 12/27, BFP! DD 9/19/13

yoginni--i do like restorative! i used to think it was too 'slow' but i think i need that now and will bring it back into my practice. checked out the site you posted--love it! any sign of af?
tara--hope things go well with the femara!
jupiter--great to hear of all those positive signs. something is happening!
AFM--i am very excitedly holding in my hand a blood work order to get my tsh, lh, fsh, prolactin and progesterone tested this week (already had estrogen and testosterone levels checked and the ovary scan to rule out PCOS). also very exciting--i called around and found an obgyn that specializes in infertility and i have an appt. for THIS friday! (instead of the end of june!) so i am thrilled at the combination of having more info to go off of and actually getting in to see a doctor in the near future. i still don't have an officially 'confirmed' HA diagnosis but will share my results with you ladies as soon as i get them for your opinion. is there anything specific you think i should talk to the doctor about at this stage? i assume the first step will be the provera challenge....trying to be patient after no AF for almost 5 months now...Age: 31, DH: 38. Off BC since Jan 2012 and no AF. Lowest BMI 19.9 12/11, running 4-5 miles day, daily power yoga. Herbs and acup. didn't help. Stopped running 5/12, gained to 150, BMI 20.9. Clomid 100mg*5 days 5/21, good response but BFN. Gained to 155, BMI 21.6. Natural O and AF the 2 months following Clomid, 30 day cycles, O on cd 18. 3rd natural cycle after Clomid=BFP!

Well now I'm beyond confused about what ever the hell it is that my body is doing....
Yesterday I had some pretty intense uterine cramping and every time I went to the bathroom there was EWCM. When I checked my cervical position last night, it was still way way the heck up there.
Then this morning, my temp plummetted to 96.9. I checked my cervix thinking maybe it had dropped too and AF was on it's way. Nope. It's still way way up there. When I went to the bathroom, there was more EWCM.
WTF is my body doing?
Is it just me or does this sound like I'm ovulating now and not when FF thought I had??????
UGH

Hi Gals,
I'm sorry that I only write so sporadically. I don't mean to take advantage of you guys... So I feel nearly a little bit bad to ask here something again.
So you might remember, I've started following gwyneth Olwyns program to regain complete health through eating 3000+ kcals. (I've got a dieting history.) This is going well, I've just started my fifth week and feel g r e a t. So many positive changes in my body and my mind, its unbelievable*. So I posted about three weeks ago here that I'd seen EWCM. Well, I did not get AF since. But I continue to have CM that is very stretchy and lubricant-like. It doesn't quite look as if you knock an egg open, not those 3+ mm thick strings. But definitely at times 1- 2 mm thick threads that can be stretched, with an egg-white like consitency occasionally. This has been going on for now close to two weeks.
Does this sound familiar to anybody of you? What could this mean?
Thanks for your time!!
xoxo
Lagom
* Such as: Body: always feeling warm, way better digestion, more energy in general, sex is even better; mind: being content and calm, not freaking out about weight anylonger, being euphoric about the changes...AF stopped at the age of 15.5 (stress/restricting cal's). Restricting continued, lowest BMI 20. BCP between 2007 and 2010. Two natural periods in Sept and Oct '11, then nothing again. Started eating loads +quitted all exercise in April '12 (www.gwynetholwyn.com) and provera challenge was positive (AF mid-april'12). AF returned naturally in the end of may '12.

Hello ladies,
Thanks for your encouragement! Yesterday evening I took HCG shot and this evening, according to my dr, is the best time for concievieng. I still have hopes, despite the fact that last 2 times with my ovulation stimulation were not successful.
I am not feeling any ovulation symptoms yet, so how can I be sure that ovulation really will happen? I will try to make ovulation test this evening. Last year when I had HCG shot, I didn`t have ovulation. This was very strange according to my dr, but maybe that was because of my underweight problems.
I will update you later with my ovulation test results. I have to start taking progesterone on Wednesday, so it is not sense to make progesterone analysis next week anyway. The question is - can the result of ovulation test be negative due to HCG shot?
Shayla - thanks for suggestion, I also bought Pre seed and will try this night
))
About clothes - with my head I understand all this thing about clothes which are getting smaller, but at the same time I remember how happy I felt when I bought them and could wear this size. Nevertheless I still keep on track and try to be happy about myself!Last edited by Sunnylady; 05-14-2012 at 06:46 AM.

Oh so happy to be able to access this board again! Am I the only one or has it been difficult accessing this board since about Thursday?
Anyway, hello everyone and I hope that a warm (or at least hopeful) Mother's Day was shared by all.
FitinNC- Thinking of you today! Please let us know how your appointment goes! So excited for you.
Sunshine and Radiesli- To you both, and to both of the symptoms you described recently, I completely agree with the symptoms/confusion... I think it's common to have a lot of CM, even EWCM, for weeks (or in my case, months) in a row before a cycle kicks in. My temps are up, down, all over the place. And after months of a high cervix, just over the weekend it became a low cervix... but no elevated luteal phase to suggest that I have AF on its way. And like you Radiesli, I have a ton on stretchy CM that's not quite EWCM which I mostly gauge based on it being able to stretch about an inch but not several inches like EWCM. Though I've had several episodes of true EWCM as well. Sunshine, I am so impatient for your current cycle to conclude- I hope it does very soon!
Jupiter- I think it was you who asked about the length after BCPs to get a withdrawal bleed. I am exactly like you in that all of my years on the Pill I would take my last pill on Saturday and get AF on Tuesday/Wednesday. (Usually Wednesday, even late Wednesday, I think.) Also, I was not at all good about taking my pill at the same time every day (mostly due to knowing I wasn't so fertile to begin with, so I wasn't so worried about birth control) and the only times I would get spotting is if I would literally miss a pill two days straight. I'm not sure what all of this means beyond that my hormone levels were low despite the BCPs, which makes sense given all of the fertile signs I've had since gaining to BMI 21.
Dream, Shayla, Chrissy- So sorry that this cycle didn't work out for any of you. Onward! You all inspire me daily.
Andie- Again, so sorry. I hope the weekend was fun, and looking forward to meeting you sometime!
Hi Rose! As for your appointment, you may have to push your Dr for the provera challenge. My Dr dismissed it because she could tell from an ultrasound that my lining was so thin (this was when I first tried going off of the pill, unsuccessfully, about 3 years ago). I didn't really care either way back then, as I had pretty much resigned to going back on BCPs anyway. If it were today, though, I would probably be armed with all of my reasons that I should be given another shot. Just a heads up, good luck!

Alexa - Are you saying that you think you didn't get spotting unless you missed two days of BCPs because your hormone levels were already so low? I've been wondering if I am getting spotting (which is the opposite of your experience) because my hormone levels are low. Do you think they are actually at a good level BECAUSE I'm getting spotting? I was wondering this last night. Still getting "spotting" (not even sure I should call it that since I am now wearing a tampon - still very dark stuff, not red, though), so this is day 5 of that.
For everyone - when you gained weight, did you get more cellulite? I never really had it before and I was trying on my bathing suits for our trip tomorrow and was a bit alarmed by it. Just wondering if I'm the only one that got this (I'm sure I'm not) and if it's here to stay.Age: 35; DH: 40; ED for 13 yrs, lowest BMI 16.4; Off BCPs in Jan '09 - no AF. Clomid = AF one month, none the next. Jan '11, Estrodial+Provera to induce AF. Femara 1/30/12 - BFN; Femara in Feb - didn't work; Injections starting 4/2/12 - IUI 4/14 - BFN; Started injections again 5/25 - IUI 6/5. BMI 21.6. BFP - 6/20.
