Runnerttc – I am going to try that…I actually did that today and felt so much better. DH is definitely not smoke free. He did well for a couple of DAYS and then reverted back to his old habits. Thank you for taking the time to respond. I always love reading your posts : )
Stef – I do eat extra on the days that I walk that much, but probably not enough. I know what I’m doing is too much. You can always be honest with me… sorry about your BFN, but it’s still really early. Maybe try again at 12 dpo.
Lawgirl – I’m going to give it a try! How are you?
Thanks Mon! I really hope this is it! Things sound so great : )
Rufus – way to go lady! That’s so exciting.
AFM –
Not too blue today…but the constipation has kicked in full throttle! Yuck : ( But it is DH and I’s 3rd anniversary today so I’m happy regardless if I can barely button my pants he he
Lots of love to all you great ladies.

D4D – Thanks so much! I’m pretty sure it was the vitex too since the rash has pretty much completely disappeared. Happy anniversary btw!
Mondon – Thanks! : ) The power of positive thinking can and does work. Also, well done on making it to day 13! Very exciting!
BOD – Fingers crossed for you! I hope it turns out for you!!!
Stef – Sorry to hear, try and stay strong that it’ll happen next time!
Sunshine – that’s great news about breakfast. Sometimes it’s just getting into a pattern and sticking with it. Keep it up!
Chava – Welcome! I’m still fairly new here, but these ladies are wonderful. I was doing acupuncture twice a week for a little over a month – while I felt a lot of sensations in my ovaries from it, I started to feel really nausea from it. I stopped about two weeks ago and feel so much better. I think the nausea was my body trying to tell me this wasn’t helping or may have been too much stimulation too soon. That’s the problem with acupuncture, you can over stimulate. Was told I had PCOS since no AF for more than 1yr, was put on BCP in 2009 since I wasn't TTC, went off in Jan/11,no AF. TTC since Feb/11. Saw RE in early Sept/11, Dx w/ HA. BMI is 22.5 (as of May/12). Limited cardio-only walking & yoga. Aug 6 (BFP = Chemical P) Next steps: Give my body moer time and revisit treatment later in the yr

For those looking for a complimentary or altnernative therapy to treat HA there has been a lot of promising research on the use of Acetyl L-carnitine supplementation and the treatment of HA. I researched it and starting taking it and that's when I O'd on my own in October. I got it at GNC...it's like $35 a bottle for like 30 pills and they come in 500 mg tablets.
Here's the research articles...
Acetyl-1-carnitine as possible drug in the treatment of hypothalamic amenorrhea, Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, Informa Healthcare
Acetyl-L-carnitine (ALC) administration ... [J Endocrinol Invest. 2011] - PubMed - NCBI

Stef - its funny you mention Acetyl L-carnitine. So you've found it to be helpful? I was looking into this, but also noted that this amino acid also helps to remove fat, so I wasn't sure if it would help or not. Its also not sold in Canada
Have you tried false unicorn root or FUR?

Steph- Sorry about your BFN, but it is def really early to be testing.
Sunshine- Good job on eating breakfast again. I def think it is really important.
chavabrina- I have read a lot about acupuncture being very beneficial. Whether it will actually bring on AF I don't know. I think there are a lot of other factors that play a part. I def think it can't hurt and if anything it is a great way to unwind and relax.
stressed out- Stay positive. I know your emotions are all over the place, but being negative won't help at all.
Rufus- Good luck today!!!
Mon-Hoping this is the real thing for you. When do you go for your beta?
Babyoneday- Glad to hear your transfer went well.
AFM- I had another u/s done yesterday. I had a follicle at 15, 14 and then 2-3 at 10mm. They are keeping me on 150mg of gonal for last night and tonight. I go in for another u/s tomorrow and hoping maybe I will be able to trigger tom night with IUI on Thurs. My estrogen was at 394. Does this seem right? My lining was 7, which I think isn't too bad.
Hi to everyone else and hope you are having a great day!!

Dolphin- Is the clomid making you constipated? I have been sooo constipated since I have started on Gonal and not sure if that is the cause or what. (sorry tmi) I eat a lot of fiber and don't usually have an issue.

Rufus- Wohoo! Sounds like you're almost in the 2WW!! What a great lining too!

Stef- Sorry about AF, at least you've got another shot with femara though. Sounds like you've got a good attitude about it!
Dolphin- Happy Anniversary! I hope your bloat/const. goes away soon...that is no fun at all! I am hoping things come together for you this cycle!
Mon- I am going crazy waiting for you to test. I can't believe we have to wait another week!
Runner- Thanks for the encouragement! I hope you're right and that my body picked a good follie this time!
AFM- Only 2DPO today, so I have quite a wait ahead of me. I am feeling more relaxed this time around, but it still will be tough to take if this cycle doesn't work out. I am going to try to be thankful that it happened naturally and just focus on that. I hope you're all having a great Tuesday!TTC since May 2010. No period, so started gaining weight. Ovulated in April 2011, 6 day LP. Saw RE for first time 5/11. Reduced exercise/increased body fat. Had 3 ovulatory cycles with a short LP. Failed femara 8/11. First round of menopur started 9/20/11=BFN. Second round of menopur 10/21/11=BFN. Natural O 12/11=BFP! Hoping this is it! EDD 8/21/2012
