Hi ladies,
I posted a few months back about going to the RE, having him diagnose me with HA, and then starting me on the NuvaRing to get some estrogen back in my system. I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease 2 years ago, and since then my period has been non-existent from being so sick.
I did the NuvaRing for 1 month, and then stopped after that, because I was worried it was making my Crohn's worse. I had the withdrawal bleed after I took out the ring, but then after that I had 2 more periods without any birth control or hormones. Do you think that those last two times was my regular cycle back, or could the hormones from the NuvaRing last that long? Anyone know?
I was excited, but now I'm late again this month, and I'm afraid it is because my Crohn's is probably starting to flare. I would take the NuvaRing for another month if it kickstarted my system again, but I want to know if I was really having unassisted periods, or if it was the hormones left over from the initial NuvaRing. Does anybody know?

Flossy-ahhhh..I'm with you on the NONSTOP monitoring of every little pain, twinge, etc. It's enough to make you go crazy! Trust your instincts...Hoping you ovulated!

Jily-YAYYYY!!! What a relief. I'm relieved for you..I know how sick that can make a person! Keep on truckin'!
Welcome Willow--great to have you! I'd have to agree..more info. might be helpful.
Mon-Good for you! And Dubai..wow! I'm with you--I think this board is deserving of some good news. Keeping my fingers crossed for you..sounds like you're making serious progress.
Stef-THanks & we've been BMSing like maniacs! hehe..Yes, I too hate the OPK testing-really frustrating and makes you second guess yourself.
Lawgirl-thanks for the encouragement..really really appreciate it!
Dolphin-I love your attitude. I need a mind-set like yours. My sister-in-law had a hard time getting pregnant and made a decision to stop trying and really put it in God's hand and whattya know..one month later: BFP!
I'm kinda in a hurry...anyone I missed, it's not intentional...thinking of you all and always reading your posts! KEEP IT UP
AFM: WEll...I took my temp. today. I've been temping for a week and here are my temps...not sure if it's accurate, but here it is:
monday-96.76
tue-97.18
wed-97.43
thurs-96.45
fri-96.64
sat-97.33
sun-95.95 (?? not sure if this an accurate read??)
mon-97.18
I have no idea what any of this means...as I said b4, I had a + smiley face OPK on Sat. @ 2:00 in the afternoon. some watery CM last week and one day with a bit of EWCM. I don't know if I really ovulated or if my body just tried to. I'm thinking that may be the case. what do you guys think? I have a obgyn appt. tomorrow just for a pap smear and pelvic exam...going to talk to him about having hormone levels checked...and possibly going the clomid route. Any other things I should discuss with him, in your experiences?
THANKS LADIES! Hope you're all having a great Monday!

Jily that's fantastic news!
AJ - it looks like you ovulated yesterday, hence the very low temp and rise this morning. If your temp continues to rise, then you will know for sure that an O' happened! That is so great! I would definitely get a P4 lab tomorrow to confirm ovulation. But I think things are looking very much in your favor. I would also discuss w/ him your willingness to continue increasing food intake while decreasing exercise. Good luck and let us know how everything goes!
Orchid - I'm not sure about a "leftover" hormone level causing two more consecutive periods. I wouldn't think so. And since you did say that your Crohn's was starting to flare, I would associate your late period w/ that, as it is a major stressor on the body. Have you had b/w completed recently?
Hey bod, lttlemichey, mia, akd (and baby) and Lovin! How are ya'll this great Monday?DS born 03/25/10; TTC again in December 2010. Failed Provera 12/10 and 04/11. D7D - Awww thanks for asking about me. Baby and I seem to be doing well. Just passed the 16 week mark. I have my scary test results (where they check for any abnormalities) at the end of next week. Praying to God that all goes well. If I'm not wrong, one of your previous posts said that you're only 26 and you already have a DS! Your chances are great - best of luck with everything!!
Lots and lots of baby dust to everyone. Hoping all of you can join us on the vets board very soon.

I am surprised at how quiet we have been today!
Dolphin-- yes I actually have been having so much CM yesterday and today.. it is a bit ridiculous.. sorry TMI.. I don't know how much of it is EWCM.. kind of creamy mixed in as well..so not sure but I know it is a lot more than I have had in a long long time. That is funny about your DH.. mine is so afraid of twins. I think I would enjoy twins but would prefer just singles. I hope the 100 mg works for you!
Jily- SO happy to hear that news.. that is wonderful. I work with insurance companies every day and they can be such a pain when it comes to payment.. even tho we all pay our premiums, etc.
Orchid-- i'm sorry I really don't know anything about that! I hope someone else does.. it doesn't seem like it would cause you have periods tho after you finish it?
AJ-- it is possible you O'd.. you would just want to see continually rising temps over the next few days.. I am trying to map our your temps in my head
keep us posted!
AK-- Oh I hope your appointment goes well!! I am sure it will26 y.o. off bcp and TTC since Dec. 2010. No AF and 104 lbs. Failed provera in March 2011 and was told to put on weight. Referred to RE in June 2011. Diagnosed with HA. Gained more weight and hoping to regain cycles..Now 125 lbs. August: Clomid 50mg.. Ovulated late BFN. Trying natural route now. September: Ovulated CD 34- spotting during LP and BFN. November: O'd CD 32-- BFP! DS born 7/27/12

Yay! Great news Jillybug--so happy for you that you don't have to pay that enormous bill...things are looking up and are going to continue to do so.
AJ--so happy for you! Have I told you yet how PROUD I am of you? Wow! If not, I AM! That is amazing. Keep up the excellent work. I am sure that you will have more increased temps in the days to come, which will indeed confirm the Big O! Better than the other Big O by a landslide in my mind, lol!! Great work, girl.
Hey Dolphin--loved your post the other day about mellowing out and leaving it in God's hands. I think you are going to feel increased peace of mind and feel much better having made that internal decision. Good for you. Still can't wait to hear when it does happen.
Kristy--are you in the 2ww wait yet? Have you o'ed or just gearing up? Either way, sounds good, with all the CM you've been having! YAY!
Welcome, Orchid! Looking forward to hearing your story. You've found an excellent support system here. We are all helping each other get to our beautiful BFPs and it's just great!
Mondonnn.....EXTRA HOLLA TO YOU SISTA! That sounds great...super stoked for you that the increased dosage is taking effect....that is so rad that you let out a random "yipee" with the 'magic wand' still inserted...love it!! Do you have any idea how much longer you expect to be stimming? Thanks for sharing about when you triggered on the last round, glad to know my e2 is pretty decent after 4 days of injects.
Lawgirl...what up girlfriend?! Countdown is on till TEST TIME...Nico as well! I have an excellent feeling about you both. Congratulations and happy news are in high order around here!
Hi GS!
How's everyone else doing? Sorry if I've missed you, but sending you love. AllieHen...still making out okay with the bigger boobies and increased hormonal feeling?
LindsayAnn--how are you doing??
Just waiting to hear back from my blood test this morning...I'll let y'all know what my e2 levels are so that you can provide me with your much beloved insight.
PS Injections of Menopur do not suck AT ALL. I actually look forward to them, they don't hurt a bit, and FINALLY, I feel like I can be proactive and get the ovaries kicked into gear. Never thought I'd be stoked on a needle so much!Me-31. DH-32. TTC # 1 for over a year. Hi Ladies!
It has been awhile since I have posted but I have been reading every other day or so! I am a teacher and am busy getting ready for the beginning of the school year. I also went to my parents lake house over the weekend and to my surprise on Saturday morning I went to the bathroom to find AF!!! I was beyond excited! I was diagnosed with HA on July 11th so almost a month ago and have gained 5lbs since then! I know that without this board and all of you I never would have been able to gain the weight as quickly as I did! I chart and am hoping to O on my own this month! If I do not o on my own I will start clomid next cycle! For all of you who are struggling with putting on weight and reducing exercise it will pay off so just keep on keeping on!! I had so many days when I just wanted to go back to restricting food because I didn't think anything was happening but I continued to tell myself that this is for the baby and I will do anything to have a baby! Last week I really noticed changes with my body that made me believe that things were starting to wake up in my body! I felt a lot of cramps and my temp started to spike more and my sex drive was insane! I have not wanted sex that much in almost 4 years! Good luck to everyone and I will be around trying to post as much as I can!

Sorry I haven't been around much girls, I'm out of town.
A_J--I think you ovulated on Sunday. You can have a temp dip right before ovulation and you are supposed to ovulate about 24 hours after a positive OPK, so I think your temps line up with ovulation as expected. Keep up the temping this week, you should see your temp up 0.4 degrees from pre-O temps and staying elevated. Are you monitored? A progesterone level 5 to 7 days AFTER ovulation can confirm ovulation.
Looking forward to hearing great news for the ladies in the 2ww--I know lawgirl, transcat, and Nico for sure. Who else is in the 2ww?TTC since 10/10 with HA. 3/11 failed Provera challenge (BMI 20, body fat 8.3%). Gained 10lbs, reduced exercise, withdrawal bleeding to Provera 5/11 (BMI 21.9, body fat 17%). First round of Clomid 5/11, no O. Gained 5 lbs, stopped exercise completely (BMI 23, body fat 20%). CD 45 no signs of O, took Clomid 50mg. First ovulation = BFP!!! Emma born on her due date 4/29/12. 8lbs 3oz, 21 inches.
