Some days the stars are just shining!!!

Wow, I can't believe my luck, it seems I'm on a roll with wishes coming true, LOL. Last night on my way home from work I passed by Fenway Park and saw all the people lined up for the Red Sox game. I was a little envious, thinking how many years it's been since I had been able to find the time and money to go to a game.( In case you don't already know, I'm a die hard Sox fan who loves my World Series Champion Red Sox!!) As soon as I got home my cell phone rang and my friend Arlene said she had just gotten two free tickets for the game, which started in an hour, did I want to go with her. It was so awesome, Ortiz hit a grand slam!!! After the game we hung around on Yawkey Way and saw some of the players drive off. it was so much fun!!!
Then , this morning I was listening to the radio and they were talking about a sold out Bob Dylan concert in Boston tonight. Again, I was thinking how much fun that would be, and wishing I could afford tickets to a concert once in a while. Well, two minutes later the phone rang and my sister Laura said that she had two tickets and her friend couldn't make it at the last minute, and didn't even want money for his ticket, just was glad somebody could enjoy it, did I want to go? So ladies, this poor working stiff, who never gets out to play anymore, thought I was in for another boring weekend of laundry and yardwork, LOL> I am so psyched that I just wanted to share my lucky news. I'm afraid to wish for anything else, LOL.

I don't normally post here, but saw this on a "View New Posts" search and just had to say YES!! I love it when things like that happen. To me it indicates that I am on the right road - kind of like if you on a long driving trip and even though you KNOW you are going the right direction, just seeing a sign with your destination on it is SO comforting.

Enjoy Bob - that should be fabulous. He's MN home-grown, you know! We like to claim him

Haven't heard from you in such a loooooong time. But then...we just got a new computer after ours got ruined from the flood. So now I'm back on line.

Ok, ummm, I am not exactly a Sox fan, but hey I bet there are some pretty cute players on the team. Any excuse to get outside away from some of the normal boring routine, I am all for it.

So, how was the concert?! I saw Dylan once, back in the 80s, when he was singing "Gotta Serve Somebody" (I think the album was "Long Train Comin'"?), in Madison, Wisconsin. An interesting experience, to say the least!
