I can't remember where I read/heard about this (years ago), but I often buy seeds cheap at the end of the season and freeze them in those freezer bags in the back (dark) part of my freezer. I've had great luck with them sprouting just fine the next year. It just came to mind because I went this morning to a local supply store and they had their seeds on clearance - 4/$1. So I bought $24 'worth' of seeds (normally $.99 each) for $6 today. They were out of some things, so I'll have to keep watch for them elsewhere or get them next year at full price when I need them, but this still gives me a great head start.
Just made me wonder if anyone else does the same thing?

Never heard of freezing them though?
